 Hey! Long-story-short: I grew up in the smallest town on the planet and wouldn't have had it any other way. Graduated from HS with honors in 2000, then headed off to the "big city" for college at Missouri State University. Made it a year before I decided the Army would be fun. Signed up for the part-time deal, knocked out six months of Military Police training, then headed back to school for two more years before I took another semester off to train to be an EMT. Got a job in one of the local trauma centers, then went back to MSU for a third time. Finally graduated in 2006 with a BS in Criminology, took a year off to have and recover from reconstructive knee surgery, then headed off to graduate school at Johns Hopkins. Studied Homeland Security for a semester, then decided it might be fun to go to the Middle East for a while. Well, actually, it was decided FOR me, but I mean, who could pass up a chance to be PAID to travel the world? The only drawbacks, really, are that you don't get to choose the destination, and the one chosen for you is usually one where people shoot at you. But hey, people shoot at you in various less-than-desirable areas of the US, so who can complain? At least I was gettin' paid well over there. Now I'm back, though, and taking a couple of months off to readjust to the civilian world and spend some time with the fam before jumping back in head first in the fall. And life is fantastic! Obsessions include, but are not limited to: aviation, beaches, boating, body surfing, bubble baths, camping, cereal, coffee, concerts, driving with the windows down, family, flying, friends, frozen custard, going fast, helicopters, Irish accents, lakes, laughing until it hurts, learning, lighthouses, lying on the beach, marching band, the Military Police Corps, movie scores, movies, music, my dogchild CJ, my iPod, naps, NASA, Nintendo (the Original and SuperNES - old school!), the ocean, paintball, parks, picnics, pirates, playing my trumpet, puzzles, rain, reading, road trips, ships, shooting, Sigma Alpha Iota, sleeping under the stars, snow, soundtracks, space exploration, the St. Louis Cardinals, sudoku, sunrises, sunshowers, surfing, swimming, tallships, the US Army, talking, thunderstorms, working out, etc, etc, etc...
