Hey y'alls. We are, collectively, known as The Silver Standard. We have been writing fanfics since sixth grade, but we've lost almost all of it to dead and/or reformatted computers.

This is a list of people who seriously need to piss off:

People who wear Hendrix shirts but don't know of a single Hendrix song besides Purple Haze.

People who go goth/emo/punk just for the look.

People who can't draw but post stuff on DeviantArt anyway.

People who take offense at things not about them.

People who are Broadway/Broadway-equivalent nerds.

People who obviously need an Industrial-Strength acne treatment that don't get one.

People who dress up their pets.

People who own more than two pets of the same species.

People who will not bend for anything.

People who get upgrades for their technology that don't improve its functionality.

People who write computer viruses because they want to be remembered (the dude who wrote the Anna Kournikova virus, therefore, doesn't count).

People who think that every time you masturbate, God kills a kitten, unless immediately proceeded by "Every time God masturbates, Chuck Norris kills a lion."

People who post things less than one sentence long and/or things that are part of an Internet chain.

In other words, any stupid, image-driven teens or Reaganist moms.

I'm Question Incarnate. Here's a bit about me.

I'm some dude from Backwatersville (aka Goshen), NY. I like writing, but my dream is to be a rock drummer.

I love playing World of Warcraft.

My sister writes under the penname EvaEvita, and she's pretty good. She also writes for fictionpress as Juliet87. She's also on DA, but, well, just check the above list of people who seriously need to piss off.

Some of my favorite bands/artists are The Beatles, Blink-182, Blue Man Group, Death Cab for Cutie, Gorillaz, Green Day, Guns N Roses, LimoZeen, Linkin Park, Queen, Taranchula, They Might Be Giants, U2, and Weird Al. Obviously I'm not particularly partial when it comes to music. Due to this diversity in taste, you will never, EVER, see The Silver Standard write a songfic...unless we are dared to...by someone we both know personally and respect. So DON'T. FREAKING. DARE US.

I'm a Homestar junkie.

I play Magic: the Gathering and read the novels avidly. N.F.C. and I are actually working on one right now. We may or may not mount it here.

I believe highly in this Jonathan Swift quotation: "When a true genius enters the world you may know him by this sign, that all the dunces are in confederacy against him."

In addition to drums, I play clarinet and guitar. I have an electric piano as well, but can't play it well.

Some other hobbies of mine include: drawing, walking around town, and acting.

Another hobby of mine is reading the comics. Personally, I like Foxtrot, Calvin and Hobbes, The Far Side, Pearls Before Swine, Get Fuzzy, and Doonesbury.

I made up a word which used to be my myspace name: cruropwnage. It's the act of pwning someone in the legs and/or pwning someone's legs off. If you don't know what pwning is, slap yourself repeatedly with a sizeable smallmouth bass and look it up somewhere.

Man, "solace" used to be such a cool word...now I can't think about it without thinking about this crappy screamo band at my school. Somebody, anybody, please make "solace" cool again!
