Author has written 1 story for Twelve Kingdoms. Hi, I'm JEKs945 Writing is not my strongest suit, but I hope to steadily improve by becoming more engaged with writing stories. I am always creating possible stories in my mind. I can drift into day dreams thinking about them, but putting pen to paper or even paint brush to canvas for that matter is easier said then done. Additionally, I do find much pleasure in reading. I am not the most avid reader, but my studies and work consume much of my time. It's one of the reasons I joined this site. Here I can read stories in a day or two and have the time to finish them! I can relax, unwind, and let me imagination soar. In terms of taste, I love fantasy, mystery, and adventure books. I have a passion for fairytales from all decades and all parts of the world. In part, I love studying fairytale illustrations. (I am a artist at heart.) A few of my favorite authors are as follows: Alex Flinn, Marissa Meyers, J.K. Rowling, and Robin McKinley. A few top-favorite books I love: Jurassic Park, Howl's Moving Castle, Dracula, Beauty: A retelling of the Story of Beauty and the Beast, Beastly, and all of the Lunar Chronicle books. I am currently reading The Lunar Chronicles series, the Kingdom Keepers series, the John Carter of Mars series, and The Phantom of the Opera. At some point I plan on tackling The Silmarillion and The Lord of the Rings series. In addition, I do read some manga. It's growing on me. |
