One day a lonely creature ventured from the bed and found the internet. On the internet a place called fanfiction was found. Then it was joined. And now we're here.

Right.

I like to read and write. I love books. They're basically the escape from the ennui that is my life. I also like TV and movies and food and music. Also I newspapers and magazines. Because keeping up with current events is somewhat really interesting for me.

So yeah. That's a little bit about me. I read a lot. Like everything from YA stuff to the Classics (my username comes from Oscar Wilde's play The Importance of Being Earnest).

I watch way too much TV. I have two shows for every day of the week. Also Doctor Who on Thursday. *Squeals*

I watch movies, but not as much as TV. I tend to like old movies a lot. Like your classic romcoms from the 40's to the late 60's and your Mafia/crime dramas from the 70s on. Of course Sci-fi/Fantasy from every time ever. Because reasons. And disney. because disney.

I eat too much. Except no. There's no such thing as eating too much. Food=wonderful. Fun fact: My deadly sin of choice is gluttony!

Music is nice too. My selection is pretty eclectic. Swing, Jazz, Disney, Alternative, Rock, Pop, (some amalgamation of the last three), the tiniest bit of rap, and a minuscule amount of country. Also all the classical music. Tchaikovsky lessthanthree.

The Economist. Yeah The Economist. Oh and The Atlantic and the New Republic and the New York Times and the Week and the Spectator and the Washington Post and the Guardian and the Onion.

So to quote Julie Andrews, "These are a few of my favourite things!" (Side note: Whiskers on kittens, or anything/everything to do with kittens ever are my favourite things because OMG KITTENS).
