I'm currently a freshman in college as a Film Studies/Journalism double major. Or maybe just a Film Studies major, I haven't decided yet. I love writing and I love movies, so fan fiction seemed like a great way to combine the two. So far it's just been Equilibrium and Underworld, and predominantly Underworld. I think it's just easiest for me to write about Selene, but to change the surroundings. Power of Corvinus is my longest right now, and although my skills are best kept to one-shots, I'm trying to learn the ideas of longer writing. Any suggestions as far as story/character developments, or just ways to improve my writing, are greatly appreciated so long as they're constructive. I'm madly in love with music as well, but my taste is obscure and moody enough that anything I put up as a favorite today might be temporarily forgotten by next week. Vertical Horizon, Amy Winehouse, Citizen Cope, Eisley, and The Bravery are eternal favorites, though. When I have time to read books through my busy schedule, I love the long and involving and compelling ones. "The Ruins," by Scott Smith, is probably the most amazing book I've ever read. His prose is sparse and sharp, and I found it totally fascinating.
