About Me:

Well, as said above, my name's Laura. I'm going to be a junior and my shop major is Media Technology. Within that for the past year and a half i had Desktop Publishing (Photoshop, designing books, animating, etc) and Film And Video. This year I'll be doing 3D animation, which i am super excited for.

I think my existence on this site can tell you that I love reading. My favorite book series of all time is Harry Potter. I live and breath it and know the stupidest little trivia facts about it.(Just ask my brother, it infuriates him) Other book series I like include Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus, The Kane Chronicles, Sherlock Holmes, and Artemis Fowl(Though I'm only six in.).) Other assorted books I love are Good Omens, The Giver, Matilda, and Island of the Blue Dolphins.

My Writing

I've had a love for writing ever since I was little. I started getting into fanfiction when I was young, looking on assorted websites for Harry Potter stories. I didn't join any sites until this one, and that was just to post reviews and follow stories(Mostly Wizards of Waverly Place and Suite Life actually). I didn't actually start posting until I watched Criminal Minds. Criminal Minds...god that just sent me spiraling downwards.

I tend to vary between depressing and angst and happy and fluffy stuff. I can go from writing couples being cute and adorable, to writing one member of that couple being brutally murdered directly after.

For the most part, i utterly hate most of my earlier writing on this site. Even stuff within the past year or so because I didn't really take most of my fics seriously, or put much care into them until recently. There's a 99% chance that if you leave a negative review, I'm going to completely agree with you. That being said, criticism is very welcomed.. If you see a screw up with characterization, the plot, grammar/spell, or anything else tell me. I like having the chance to improve my writing.Although I think it goes without saying I'd rather have the person criticizing not be rude and be constructive about it

Crossovers are my absolute favorite thing to write, hence why the majority of my fics are crossovers. Usually with Criminal Minds, which is my main fandom but I plan to branch out more soon, now that my muse seems to have gained an obsession with crossing certain other shows together.Some of the crossovers I like are completely and utterly batshit insane, I'll warn you. And with those batshit crossovers come batshit crossover pairings.

Criminal Minds - So this is basically my favorite TV Show ever. It's my first fandom so it's always going to have a hugely special place in my heart. I fell in love with it, mosly thanks to the wonderful and adorable Dr. Spencer Reid.

Doctor Who- Oh god, where do I begin with Doctor Who? Basically I am unnaturally obsessed with it. Go on, ask my family. They think I'm absolutely insane. They're totally right. This is without a doubt the greatest science fiction ever. And the fact that it has nearly 50 years to it...Well that's fantastic! I'm mainly writing for NewWho but I do want to start writing for the Classic Series more, especially the First Doctor era. Possibly the Expanded Universe as well.

Merlin- My latest obsession and proof I should probably just sell my soul to the BBC. Because it completely destroyed my soul with this show, Sherlock, Doctor Who, and Torchwood anyway. I heard of this show on tumblr and eventually decided to sit down and watch it...and now I have an obsession with it that rivals Doctor Who and Criminal Minds. Which is seriously saying something.

Supernatural-Oh god Supernatural...This show gave me the following realization about television shows: Nobody is safe. Writers can and will kill off all the characters you get emotionally attached too. It's cruel. I was emotionally dead inside by the time I finished watching it. And season 8 isn't helping at all.

Sherlock- When I originally watched this I thought to myself "Oh it's only 6 episodes long. That'll make it easy to watch." And now? If you enter my house you can hear the sounds of my crying over waiting to get more episodes. it also is what got me into Sherlock Holmes in general, so I suppose I do have something to thank it for aside from a crushed heart.

The Mentalist- My love of this show is owed to Rachael.(criminalxxxmindsxxxfreak, who is awesome) And i suppose my mom a bit too. I love this show to bits. It makes me laugh because Jane can be a such jerk sometimes.(Though he can be a huge sweetheart too) It makes me cry buckets of tears because he hates himself so much. I haven't yet written for it but I hope to change that eventually.

Elementary- I admit, I was as dubious of it at first. Then I made what i consider a great decision and gave it a chance. And I saw how awesome it was. Joan Watson kicks major ass. Sherlock is all sorts of perfect. And this show masters character relationships and character development in ways I've never seen before. It's just perfect. Honestly if you haven't given it a chance yet, do it.

Hannibal-This show man, i'm completely in love with it. It's seriously just perfect.Particularly the filming and cinematography which manages to be simultaneously beautiful and disturbing as hell. I'm really into shows with screwed up plotlines/characters so it's perfect for me. Also... SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP WILL GRAHAM
