When Santana finds out that Puck is getting married, she proposes to Quinn in order to beat him to the altar and win a bet they made in high school. Santana and Quinn have been sleeping around for years, anyway, so she figures Quinn's as good a choice as any. When Quinn agrees to marry her, Santana finds out that the only thing worse than losing may just be winning.

New York Flash, a soccer club struggling to stay in the National League, has recently signed midfielder Santana Lopez in the hopes of rejuvenating their lineup. Her place on the team severely threatened, Quinn Fabray angrily accuses Santana of sleeping with the manager and inevitably sparks off a tempestuous love-hate relationship that threatens to tear them (and the club) apart.

"There were 23 other tributes in the arena. So the odds were, Santana wouldn't have to kill Brittany or Blaine, and maybe none of the other tributes either. But the odds had been a bitch lately". When Santana volunteers for the 74th Annual Hunger Games, she deals with friendship, romance, tragedy, hardship and that damn annoying Hobbit from District 1.
