Hello everyone.

My name is Sofie, but I'd like if you would call me Soankast.

I have three first names and one last name but I figured that would be a little too long of a username. I first thought of S.A.K.S. but here in Sweden ( I live in Sweden if you didn't figure it out) there's a store called SAKS so I decided that Soankast would have to do. Insted of using the first letter in every name I used my first two letters.

Ehrm...

I am totally addicted to Manga and anime. When you put me in front of a computer you would notice that I stick to it like glue. usually my parents have to drag me away from it or turn of the electricity. Of late I'd noticed I've been reading more fanfiction than the original works though, but either way my computer stays my friend.

Even though I glued to my computer I am not neglecting my studies or anything like that. I have high grades and they shall remain that way. For now I am studying at KTH in order to become an engineer.

I love to read and I love to write. The problem is that I couldn't write to save my life. Essays are not a problem, but literature is. My stories may never see the light of day but that is something I would like to change, when (if) I learn how to write one that I wouldn't be to embarassed about. Until I've found my writingskills and gathered my Gryffindor courage I'll stick to reviewing.

Fanfiction

I read anything I find intresting and my current interest is Harry Potter, Marvel or Supernatural fanfictions. But a good fanfiction, what does it contain? Well, everything changes and so do I. When i entered this site for the first time I had no idea what fanfiction was. What I like to read about and the quality have certainly changed overtime. Nowadays, I'm a lot more open in the choice of fanfictions. When I read a slashstory for the first time i had abosolutly no idea what slash meant. I was in for a shock of a lifetime and couldn't understand how people could write stories such as the one I read. I was shocked to the core but yet I couldn't stop reading. Shortly thereafter my friend mikkpisst recommended a few stories she thought I should read about, a lot of which was slash. I was at a first glance very doubtful about the pairings she recommended but I sucked it up and read the works of fiction and I am honest when I say that she opened my eyes. Some great fictions I've read have contained slash, even though it isn't necessery for a well developed story, some are better without any pairing at all.

Plots that (almost)never fail to get me hooked

Harry Potter- I love almost any story with Harry as the main character. Tom Riddle/Lord Voldemort should also be significant for the story. He doesn't have to be the unchangeble evil monster villain who torture and kill for pleasure or in mad fits of rage. A wellthought calm, calculating, well-mannered man is often a more intersting approach. Those stories in which they really fight a war (more than a duel for two) and which reflect him as a cunning statsgist is usually really good! Even better is when these stories have a dark, but not nessecerily evil, Harry, a manipulating Dumbledore and a well-developed plot is a must.

I do not really like the "light" side if they are not the evil ones. Dark misunderstood purebloods, dark lords and saviors on the other hand. ;D

I don't like Dumbledore and thus I prefare stories in which he is displayed in a bad light. The manipulating, decieveing, old chessmaster putting on a grandfather-like image is the one image of Dumbledore that I love to hate.

I do not like Harrys friends either. They rub me the wrong way. So I often read stories in which Ron is a jealous prat and Hermione is a arrogant know-it-all. Sure, Hermione can be OK, but I usually like it when she sticks together with Ron. And Ginny, don't even get me started. I loath her, but that may be because of her crush on Harry before they even met. I think you have to know someone in order to like them, love at first sight(or in her case love by first tale) is usually not an interesting plot or likely to occur. Maybe I 'm wrong, but hey there are several way to use her crush against her. Neville seems to be a good guy and I kind of like him, Luna as well. And the twins Gred and Forge are the most interesting characters which i like especially when they stick with Harry.

I love fanfiction where there is time travel, dimension travel and such involved.
