Ruth's life changes completely when she meets Bill, who is a Shadowhunter. Slowly she begins to trust Bill and learns that she is a Shadowhunter too, but when she see tries to separate the truth from the lies she discovers something she can't believe. Instead of being an orphan, she learns that she does have parents but they are not who she thinks they are.
