A friend at her side, a fool screaming for her downfall, a crusader wading into the battle. Over the years, Miki Sayaka has been many things to Homura. Perhaps it was always leading here, where the devil and an angel clasp hands and prepare to strike the other down.

Moemura insists to Sayaka that her heart can't take the advances Sayaka keeps putting out while Sayaka insists that she can heal it.

Homura wakes up in a world where the only witch is the one in her head.
