I'm a fangirl from the US, and I am a social work major. I am completely obsessed with the great Irish playwright, Oscar Wilde. While his writing style has influenced my own, and I occasionally reference his work, I would never dream of comparing myself to him. I'm just a Wilde (pun intended) groupie, nothing more. Bosie wasn't good enough for Oscar-fight me bro. If you ever want to discuss Wilde or his work, PM me! It's on my bucket list to visit his tomb, but when I get there, he will probably rise up out of the grave and demand that I stop trying to reference his work in fanfiction. On a more serious note, when I was 15, I grew very depressed and suicidal. The reason I'm sharing this is so that if you struggle with mental health problems, you know you aren't alone. I was there, only a few years ago. I know how it feels. Mental health problems are nothing to be ashamed of! Mental health patients aren't scary or dangerous or crazy like popular culture would like us to believe. They are people like you and me. So, if you are struggling with mental health problems of any kind, here is a big internet hug. I wish I could be there with you right now, to hug you and tell you how amazing and strong and valuable you are, but I can't. Please, please, please talk to someone in your life that you trust. I don't know if I'd still be alive to type this if I hadn't done that. Stay strong.
