![]() Greetings, and welcome to my humble profile page! Well then, I'm going to assume that you are here (on my profile) because you're interested in learning a little something about a complete stranger such as myself. That, or you want to look at my Favorites List. If that's the case, then move along. Let me start of by saying that I am a prodigious fan of correct grammar and spelling, developed characters and plots, appropriate capitalization, commendable word choice (Thesaurus(.)com is a wonderful tool put on the internet used for turning boring, plain words into terms that are engaging, distinguishing, and just simply appropriate. USE IT.), and elementary intelligence. If you can't create a basic sentence with commas, periods, capitalization, and correct structure, then you're just embarrassing yourself. I'm also quite fond of music, reading, writing, and scary things. My interests vary greatly, and change monthly. Religious Views- I'm open-minded. I like to view religion from all angles, not just the one I grew up learning about. If you do not agree with my personal views, then that is not my problem. Opinions can change, and mine is no different. If you can give me a logical and reasonable debate, then I will listen to you and consider what you have to say. You can dislike me all you like for my personal views, but that won't make the world a better place (in fact, anyone notice how it does just the opposite?), and I don't want to hear anyone preaching to me about how I'll go to hell if I refuse to see and agree with their ideas and morals. I appreciate the concern, but I'll worry about my own eternal damnation. "You can con God and get away with it, Granny said, if you do so with charm and wit. If you live your life with imagination and verve, God will play along just to see what outrageously entertaining thing thing you'll do next. He'll also cut you some slack if you're astonishingly stupid in an amusing fashion. Granny claimed that this explains why uncountable millions of breathtakingly stupid people get along just fine in life."- Odd Thomas, By Dean Koontz "I love it when someone insults me. That means I don't have to be nice anymore."- Billy Idol "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."-Galileo Galilei "I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours."-Stephen Roberts "The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success"-Bruce Feirstein "Being noticed can be a burden. Jesus got himself crucified because he got himself noticed. So I disappear a lot."- Bob Dylan "I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not so sure."-unknown "You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. they left me a little note on the windshield, it said 'parking fine'."-Tommy Cooper "I fear that one day I'll meet God, he'll sneeze and I won't know what to say."-Ronnie Shakes “It's great to be asked to help Bob raise public awareness about third world debt and poverty.”-Roger Waters "I used to think that anyone doing anything weird was weird. I suddenly realized that anyone doing anything weird wasn't weird at all and it was the people saying they were weird that were weird."- Paul McCartney "For me, insanity is super sanity. The normal is psychotic. Normal means lack of imagination, lack of creativity."-Jean Debuffet "There's no half-singing in the shower, you're either a rock star or an opera diva."-Josh Groban "When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I've never tried before."-Mae West "You know, I rather like this God fellow. Very theatrical, you know. Pestilence here, a plague there. Omnipotence... gotta get me some of that."- Stewie Griffin "I'm in competition with myself and I'm losing."-Roger Waters "If god doesn't like the way I live, Let him tell me, not you."- unknown "Insanity is often the logic of an accurate mind overtaxed."-Oliver Wendall Holmes "I'm so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I'm saying."-Oscar Wilde "We have just enough religion to make us hate, but not enough to make us love one another."-Jonathan Swift "You grow up the day you have your first laugh-at yourself."-Ethel Barrymore "Time is a great teacher, but unfortunatly it kills all it's pupils..."-Louis Hector Berlioz "Power corrupts. Knowledge is power. Study Hard. Be evil."-unknown. "I am ready to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the ordeal of meeting me is another matter."-Winston Churchill "Society exists only as a mental concept; in the real world there are only individuals."-Oscar Wilde "Before you critisize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them and you have their shoes."-Jack Handely "If there were no God, it would be necessary to invent him."-Voltaire "Borrow money from a pessimist- they don't expect it back."-unknown "A man who smiles when things go wrong has thought of someone to blame it on."-Robert Bloch “Who is the strongest, who is the best, who holds the aces, the East or the West. This is the crap our children are learning.”-Roger Waters "A closed mind is like a closed book; just a block of wood."-Chinese proverbs "Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it, you'd have good people doing good things and evil people doing bad things, but for good people to do bad things, it takes religion."-Steven Weinberg "Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people."-Eleanore Roosevelt "You can chain me, you can torture me, you can even destroy this body, but you will never imprison my mind."-Nahatma Gandhi "The open-minded see the truth in things: the narrow-minded see only the differences."-unknown "Be master of mind rather than mastered by mind."-Zen Proverb "People are very open-minded about new things- as long as they're exactly like the old ones."-Charles F. Kettering "I would rather have a mind opened by wonder than one closed by belief."-Gerry Spence "Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be."-Abraham Lincoln "A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes."-Mahatman "If it weren't for electricity, we'd all be watching television in the dark."-George Gobal |
