1. Turning Tables

This is probably the most well thought out James/Lily fanfiction I’ve come across and it’s also the closest to canon. It's very well written. The author is probably one of the best authors in the fandom and all of her other works are worth reading as well.

2. A Month of Sundays

Sweet and light-hearted but there are also elements of sadness and jealousy that are overall really heartwarming. The way Lily comes to terms with her romantic feelings towards James was exceptionally written.

3. Philologus

The way the writer crafts the plot is detailed and very well done. There is no magic in this fanfiction but the drama surrounding the characters totally makes up for it.

4. The Life and Times

This is such a classic. This is by no means canon, but the characters are phenomenal. They are just represented so realistically.

5. Pursuing Lily Evans

Sentimental. Read it if you want a good laugh.

One-Shots

Beautifully written and offers an amazing perspective on James/Lily as a whole.
