Hey, all! I'm SaffronDaise—but please, please shorten it to Saffron. Or Saffy, if you're feeling particularly playful. I aim to be one of those people my readers feel comfortable talking to. I hope that someday I'll be one of those writers that people draw pictures for because my stories are just that cool... but I think I've got quite a ways to go.

A bit of info about me: I'm a 19-year-old college student with love of anime and a passion for stringing words together prettily. My favorite quote is "For your born writer, nothing is so healing as the realization that he has come upon the right word."—Catherine Drinker Bowen. My favorite punctuational mark is the M-dash (—) and my second favorite, the wonderful parentheses. If you catch me over-using either, please please please let me know. Ditto commas and pretty much anything else, even a word. I try to keep my trusty thesaurus on hard so as not to bore you, but I may not always succeed. I have an older sister and I still live with my parents and grandmather in the Pacific Northwest. The summer of 2011 I travelled all over the East Coast (from Northern Maine to the middle of Florida!) on a two-month sabbatical, which was wonderful.

My favorite anime is One Piece and my favorite manga, Fairy Tail... though my current obsession seems to be Naruto. I have very recently (re)discovered the wonders of InuYasha and its fandom. Sailor Moon is an old favorite (my very first anime *sniffles*). Having subscribed to Shonen Jump through my entire adolescence, I have a more than passing familiarity with the various series serialized therein. I love music and manga, so if there's something you think I may be interested in and haven't heard of, please tell me! If I know it already, we could have a fun conversation! If not, then, well, I'll look it up and we can have a fun conversation! (If you think I sound a bit starved for conversation, you would be completely correct; I don't get out much for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is that I have very few friends, and none so passionate about anime and/or writing as I.) I do not, to be honest, have any one favorite pairing in any given series to the exculsion of all (or any, really) others.
