Physical Appearance: Elias has dark brown hair that looks almost black when it is wet or depending on how the light hits it which falls past his shoulders with some bangs in his eyes. His eyebrows are also a medium brown and thick in appearance, his eyes like haunting sapphires that make him look blind which stare out of a haggard face that is somewhat weathered with time but retains its noble appearance with the high cheekbones and slightly pointed ears. A noticeable scar stretches across the side of his face in a diagonal fashion from his left eyebrow down to his right lower jaw and he has another thick scar on his right leg that he gained in a fight when he was younger. Elias has olive skin stretching across a lean frame, the bit of muscle he has on him is within his stomach and the upper portions of his arms. He has a tenor voice with a thick German accent that makes it somewhat hard to understand him, especially when he becomes nervous or scared, the accent becomes more pronounced.

Personality: Within Elias's blood beats the heart of a warrior, a capable soldier and cook who follows any order he is given. He is a bit cold and snappy to those who haven't earned his trust but he is also assertive and quick thinking. Elias doesn't enjoy social gatherings and parties, despite being in such a high position as he is, large crowds tend to make him uncomfortable which he tries not to let others see. Elias carries himself with an air of confident dominance, often exhibiting predator-like tendencies and is indifferent to peoples' suffering, leading others to believe he is heartless and cold. Often having to take care of himself as a child, especially as both his parents grew sick and died, forced him to realize that the suffering of the weak had no place within society and if he didn't want to be weak then he would have to be strong and look out for himself. Thus, his somewhat carefree nature as a child disappeared with the death of his half-brother, causing him to realize he was truly alone in the world with nobody to rely on. Elias's heart grew cold and hard after being betrayed by those he thought friends, left to die by a traveling companion and shaped by the hardships throughout his life, Elias is not someone you want on your bad side, let alone being within sight of. Trained in various weaponry throughout his time with Grindelwald, he often uses his wits and charisma to get himself out of trouble. He is a loyal soldier and respects Grindelwald, that is a man he would never betray, not after Grindelwald took him in and gave him a chance to be something better. His most lacking flaws though are his stubbornness and his temper, Elias is like a tempest for you never know when he will strike or what will set him off. He has a hard time making friends, his personality often pushes people away from him and causes them to fear him while he isn't willing to back down from a challenge and will often be hard put to be swayed from his beliefs. Elias views emotions as a weakness and keeps his thoughts guarded, never letting anyone know what he is thinking or feeling.

History: Elias was born within a village of Austria to a pureblood wizarding family, the Baumers, who were a very traditional family. Like their British counterparts, they held true to the Old Ways and didn't believe in mixing with anyone seen as inferior; to the family this extended to creatures, half-bloods and mudbloods. The youngest of four children, he watched as his older siblings exhibited signs of magic, his oldest brother heading off to Durmstrang every year with his middle sister starting when he was three, but Elias was an anomaly. By the time he was four and had shown no signs of magical talent, his father took him to a wizarding hospital within Austria where a variety of tests were done on the frightened and confused child, the end results not being pleasing to the Baumer family. Elias was a squib and would never show any magical promise or be a capable member of society, therefore he was an inferior being in his family's eyes.

His father went through steps to disown Elias after the devastating information that an inferior being had been produced within the family and the child was abandoned within the muggle world in the dead of night a couple days after the bad news. Not only did his father disown and abandon the child, but to add insult to injury, cast a memory charm on the child to take away all memories of his birth family and of the magical world. Left to wander the streets, shivering as he was clad in only a ragged shirt and pants, a woman found the child and brought him to an orphanage within Austria, a small piece of parchment pinned to the front of his shirt with his first name on it. He remained within the orphanage for two months until a middle-aged couple who were looking for a child to adopt after finding out they couldn't have any more children. Fate was with Elias, for they chose him out of all the other children, despite Elias being a quiet and shy boy. Not only did the couple willingly take in the young child, they also blood adopted him, a practice that was still socially acceptable at the time. Elias's looks began to change somewhat within his facial structure, gaining a few inches in height his hair became darker. His new parents were Ulrich, a Pureblood wizard and Nadine, a Muggleborn witch.

Elias was raised within the muggle world, but thanks to his parents grew up with an understanding of both the wizarding and muggle worlds, both the world he had now lived in and the world he'd been cast out of. He went to Muggle primary school while his older brother went onto Durmstrang, the family moving to Germany when he was eight. After graduating, his brother got a job in a Muggle café, only to die six months later when a gunman came into the café and opened fire, his brother diving into the path to protect a mother and her young child. He was killed instantly and buried with a small cemetery at their church, Elias being raised as Roman Catholic. When he was fourteen he lost his parents within six months, his mother catching Scarlet Fever which rendered her blind and ultimately killed her, his father succumbing to Dragon Pox three months later.

Elias would find himself placed within an orphanage for the next year, his education paid for by the German Muggle Government but forced to work off his debt to society by being sold as a farm hand to varying families throughout the summer along with training so he could join Hitler's army like so many young men his age. During these times, the teenager was mistreated and given poor food until it got to be too much and he left on his seventeenth birthday. With little money, he made his way across Europe, not having a destination in mind but just wanting to leave the area that had brought so much pain and suffering to Elias. In his travels, Elias heard rumors surfacing within the magical communities of Europe, of a wizard named Gellert Grindelwald, a man who was rumored to be for creature rights and the rights of everyone as long as they were descended from magical bloodlines. Being a squib, these rumors caught Elias's attention, and some might say stupidly, he sought out the feared dark wizard.

It was after he had settled within Budapset that he literally ran into the famous Dark Wizard when he was coming out of a café after eating lunch. At first, he didn't realize who he had run into but later that evening two wizards broke into his home and apparated him to an old manor in the countryside and it was there that he found out what a mistake he had committed by running into the Dark Lord. Through conversations and viewing how Grindelwald worked over the course of attending a few meetings, Elias would become one of his soldiers, acting as a spy for Grindelwald in the Muggle world. This was the first time since the Oldenbergs had passed that Elias would be able to prove, not only to himself but to those whom had shunned him and his half-brother that they could be of use to the magical world even if they weren't purebloods. Entranced by Grindelwald's ideas of giving everyone who had magical blood safety and protection, he ended up joining the Dark Lord's forces and completing his schooling into the magical world.

Over the next two years he would train to become stronger, working as an assistant in a bakery and enjoying his relative freedom. He found he had a talent for cooking and enjoyed it but his freedom didn't last for he was soon found by Nazi sympathizers and brought into the army. Elias found that he didn't mind this, it would give him money and shelter so long as he fought and did as he was told though he would always be loyal to Gellert for giving him a chance. Over the next several years, Elias would work his way up through the ranks from a simple infantry soldier to a member of the SS, always passing information to Grindelwald and with time becoming one of Grindelwald's most trusted friends and confidants within the army.

Twisted Fate (Harry Potter)

Synopsis: On his sixteenth birthday Harry Potter finds out that his friends have been spying on him and betraying him to Dumbledore. The Legend of Kesuk (Avatar The Last Airbender)
