What if the card for the 75th Hunger Games said that the tributes were drawn from the victors and their escorts? Who will go in, and who will sacrifice their lives for those they love? All characters belong to Suzanne Collins. I'm not her. If I was, I'd have included way more Effie.

A look at the dynamics of the relationship between Haymitch and Effie from the 74th Hunger Games to the events that follows and how that relationship develops through the turmoil, the Rebellion and the aftermath."You are a despicable man, Haymitch Abernathy," she shook her head disapprovingly.

"Now, Haymitch," Effie instructed, "if you will just cooperate, this will be a lot more pleasant for both of us. Now, just put your hand on my waist, and-" "Sweetheart, I'd rather just go through the alcohol withdrawl symptoms." A short Heffie one-shot.

Post-Mockingjay. Set after Katniss's trial. Effie explained why she couldn't return to District 12. "They considered the circumstances and my involvement with the Rebels and I was given the anklet. They couldn't just allow people like us who were involved in the Games to go unpunished simply because we worked with the Rebels."

# EFFIE/HAYMITCH. The story starts when Effie is rescued from imprisonment in Mockingjay; she is not quite herself, but can a certain drunken mentor pick up the pieces once more? This is the story of two broken souls, finding their way together despite the fact that they are complete opposites.

-Very short oneshot, my twist on a scene before the 74th Games- Haymitch is fed up of Effie's ranting and complaining so he tells her to "have fun". Effie's idea of fun is a little different to what he expected though.

Haymitch saves Effie from her torture, and she realizes that there's more between them than friendship as she tries to repay him for his sacrifice.
