Seven is a 'magical' number.  The number of the occultist and the esoteric.  Seven's are secretive, mysterious, stand-offish, intuitive and introspective. An unworldly attitude means most seven's need to be 'protected'. Harry Potter born as the seventh month dies and as the seventh horcrux to be protected and adored by his creator and soul-brother. AU. Ron and the twins never made it to Surrey to rescue their trapped friend; instead Harry spends his last weeks locked in a small room surviving on one can of soup a day. Weak and ill from malnutrition Harry makes it to Hogwarts only to recive three weeks of detention with Snape. When Harry collapses during the first detention life changes dramtically for both of them.

This story came from the thought that the Weasley introduction was a setup. This is NOT a time-travel story. The premise is that the Dursleys got him there very early and Hermione, being the perfectionist that she is, also arrived very early. Thus they meet and the glory of H/Hr begins.
