![]() Author has written 2 stories for Final Fantasy X-overs, and Avatar: Last Airbender. So, I've been alive for a number of years. For all 19 of those years, I've been called Kyle, and live in an abysmally small town that I can't wait to get out of. I'm a bit skeptical that there's actually a world outside of it, I've been here so long, but I'm determined to experience living somewhere bigger and better, and I'm sure I will if I'm persistent enough. I'm really passionate about film, I hope to one day be a screenwriter. It took me a while to come to that decision, I've been through a lot of phases in my life on that one. When I was a kid I wanted to be a lawyer, but that's akin to an astronaut or fireman in terms of understanding what it meant; as I grew older, I began to understand why that would antagonize my moral compass. As a young teen, I watched a lot of TV, and the Greats (Whedon specifically) inspired me to pursue writing in that field, but a brief tangent off in graphic design as a hobby led me to believe that might be my goal in life. It took a lot of failing at that to settle back on writing. I did the art thing for a couple of years, actually, and got really into it, made of lots friends in that online scene. I think it was the fact that I just wasn't as good as my peers that really hit home, I didn't feel like I could ever compete. Film, though, is my main squeeze, and even while I was enjoying other things, it was still a part of my day-to-day. I enjoy art in most of its creative mediums, but there's something about the moving pictures that really tickles my fancy. The cinematography, the performances, and mainly, the crafted writing are something you just don't get composed together from other works of art, and it's something I admire greatly. I won't lie and said I enjoyed school, not because of the learning, I was always good at that, but the people; there were some great folks here and there, but for the most part it was not fun. I like to think I wasn't alone in that. As I've moved on to "higher learning" I find things are much different, and I can actually just relax. I would definitely call myself a geek... possibly a dork. I'm into the internet, video games, all forms of entertainment; I'm an amalgamation of pop culture, really. I tend to speak in the various memes and zeitgeist of the internet. My sense of humor at times my seem immature, even inappropriate, but it's really more subversive than anything, non-humor. Some people don't seem to get the point that the point of something I'm trying to make funny... is that it isn't funny? Hm. Also, I'm kind of a lazy guy when/if I get the chance, but that doesn't mean I'm not up for something given the opportunity. I don't want you to think I'm this self indulgent all of the time, I wrote this much to help you, gentle reader, get a better idea of who I am. It's so hard to tell anything about anyone from a paragraph of text, and I wanted to help the process as much as possible. :) (Oh, btw, that wall of shite was from my okcupid profile. Accurately sums me up. Link to follow.) Contact me at flameaxelviii@gmail.com And my IM address is... hahahaha, no. Some linkage: http://www.facebook.com/flameaxelviii I won't add you if I don't know you, so good luck. Add a comment if there's some compelling reason. All my artsy fartsy. Lots of resources for design. My musical habits. Scrobbling is mostly accurate as of late. |
