As you can see by the little flag next to my name, I live in the "small country near the sea", as we call it ourselves.

My first encounter with Doc Martin was via our local version of the series. It's called Dokter Tinus. Dr. Tinus, as you may well understand, is a grumpy GP (ex vascular surgeon) in the village of Wourkem.. I saw in the credits of the Dutch series a reference of the original, so I looked up what his Brittish colleague would be like... I purchased all the available DVD.

Soon, I also came across the beautiful stories everybody has posted here. I am not sure, but it might be the stories that really made me addicted to the series. My favourite characters are Doc Martin, Louisa, Aunt Ruth and Morwenna.

English is not my first language, so don't be too surprised when you find grammatical errors or when the wrong word is used. I learn a lot from you all and of course from the television show as well.

This is the first time ever that I write fiction, but I really like it.
