Author has written 1 story for Lord of the Flies.

Name: WaterLily1594

I love reading and writing, but that's assumed because I have an account on this website. :) I'll probably never post any stories, though.

My favorite book is non-existent. I have read oodles and oodles (yes, 'oodles' is a unit of measurement) of books, and fail to recall them all now. Except, I love fairy tales, and I have loved them ever since I was a little kid! There's just something about how simple they are. Prince meets princess, they fall in love, then a happily ever after, the end.

But of course, I'm a sucker for all those corny teen novels that have like three hundred sequels to them. That might be because I am currently a teenager. And, to prove my point, I dare you to go to any bookstore, and in the "Teen" section, pick out any two or three books. Maybe even close your eyes while you pick them. I swear almost every time, you'll pick up a book with A) Vampires or B) Werewolves or C) All of the above. Remember, when in doubt, pick C. :D

Poems I Love:

The Highwayman - Andrew Noyes
Blow, Bugle, Blow (or the third song from 'The Princess', or 'The Splendor Falls') - Alfred Lord Tennyson
Tears, Idle Tears - Alfred Lord Tennyson
All in All - Alfred Lord Tennyson
Crossing The Bar - Alfred Lord Tennyson
Young and Old - Charles Kingsley
The Road - Edwin Muir
The Grey Squirrel - Humbert Wolfe
The Builders - Longfellow
Bete Humaine - Francis Brett Young
In the Valley of Cauteretz - Alfred Lord Tennyson
An Epitaph - Walter De La Mare
Reveille - A.E. Housman
Pan's Song - Edmund Spenser

(Some of the french titles are missing accents...Sorry!)

Quotes:

Every artist was first an amateur.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Try not to become a man of success but a man of value.
Albert Einstein

Imagination is more important than knowledge.
Albert Einstein

You cannot depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.
Mark Twain

Govern thy life and thoughts as if the whole world were to see the one, and read the other.
Thomas Fuller

Life's a voyage that's homeward bound.
Herman Melville

Courage, sacrifice, determination, commitment, toughness, heart, talent, guts. That's what little girls are made of; the heck with sugar and spice.
Bethany Hamilton

Girls are like apples on trees.
The best ones are
at the top of the tree.
The boys don't want to reach
for the good ones because they
are afraid of falling and getting hurt.
Instead, they just get the rotten apples
from the ground that aren't as
good, but easy. So the apples at the top think
something is wrong with them, when in
reality, they're amazing. They just
have to wait for the right boy to
come along, the one who's brave enough
to climb all the way to the top of the tree.

(The words above this were supposed to go in the shape of a tree...but it always resets on my profile) =1
