Now, It's been awhile since I've been active here (in writing stories mostly, I've been pretty consistent in reading some fics here). Last time I attempted writing a fanfic here, it was about three - four years ago. I was already a freshman in high school and nearing the age of 15. Now, I just recently turned eighteen and in September, I'll be off to college and dorming. I live in New York and enjoy it here - right by the city. Don't plan on moving anywhere else anytime soon and would love to live and work here (in a newspaper, as I'm a journalism major).

So, I've always loved writing. When I was young I made a short story and tried to make a sequel. Sure, they're pretty crappy storywise if I read it now or showcased it, but its nice to look back on. Around seven years ago I started roleplaying and that was my outlet for writing. I still roleplay to this day but reserve myself to just one or two sites. I'm one of the administrators of a Hogwarts roleplayign site that is set in the future of Harry Potter's era and is set during his children's years. That inspired me to eventually make a Hogwarts fanfiction and really commit to it this time. Last time, I wrote one inspired by an old rp site of a friend's, but after a few chapters I lost muse for it (that site also died down soon). But now I know what I'm going to write.

For now, all I'll be writing is this fanfic. If I get inspired more I might write anoter one. It will be a Hogwarts fanfic with drama and a more modern twist. It's set in 2008 and will chronicle the years (not from first year though) of some of the students there. The characters are totally new but there may be some connections here and there to Harry Potter's era or the roleplay I'm in. But not much, since it is set in 2008 (and HP's years ended in 19971998 at end of DH and my rp is set in 2021 and beyond). At the moment I'm debating what the title should be. I hope, when it does premiere, it's greeted well and will have some sort of a fanbase.
