It is a bit of an epic. Several longish chapters to follow. I do not own Downton Abbey or these characters but I certainly admire Julian Fellowes who does and did.

News of Sybil's upcoming nuptials arrives, and Cora and Robert have a decision to make. Tensions rise, tempers flare, and they find their themselves in a tough spot. How will they overcome their differences and come to terms with the decision their youngest daughter has made?

After completing their last court presentation Cora is feeling older than usual, Robert sets out to help her feel better, however things are not always in our control and it is he who ends up feeling his age. A multi chapter fic set directly after season 4 ends.

Set during 2x02. The war has begun to snake it's way into Robert and Cora's marriage leaving a trail of dissention and uncertainty in it's wake whilst resurrecting some feelings long buried by both time and denial.
