Melanie Harrison lives the terrible life. Her mother walked out, her father an alcoholic and she is trying to keep her siblings with her by working a full-time job and going to school at the same time. She thinks about ways to end it all but meets someone who wants to help her but they have to get through her shell to see the real Melanie.
