Hello everyone! I've been reading fanfics for years (since 2004 or 2005) but never thought to get an account so now I finally made one lol! I'm not into many fandoms on this site. Naruto (I'm sure it's obvious as you see my own fics) is my main, and possibly one of my favorite, fandoms. Even though I haven't kept up with the anime or manga for over a year now. I just enjoy reading the fics opposed to the actual thing lol But I am into other fandoms! I've loved and favorited other fanfics. They're in there...somewhere lost within my favorites list...lol

To all my faithful readers:

I really can never say thank you enough to all my readers who have stuck by me through my long absences. I do read all of you reviews and PMs and to some of you I have replied back. To all the others I never replied back to, I really am sorry. There was a sense of shame every time I saw a new review because I couldn’t deliver a new chapter when you’ve being so patient and constantly coming back to reread the whole fic in anticipation for a new chapter some day. I’m so deeply sorry.

The truth of it is, I started writing back in 2011 and now here we are at the end of 2018. I’ve changed so much and grown so much in these seven years. I started writing in my senior year of high school when I was beginning a new transition to my life. Actually, it hasn’t even been a decade and I’m going through another transition right now. It hasn’t implemented itself yet, but I can feel the change slowly coming, if it’s not already happening.

I went through a phase where I felt that my writing was extremely inadequate. I’m sure everyone has gone through a phase like that too where something they love or just simply enjoy doing somehow becomes a strain. I’d literally have to be in the mood to write for it to come out any good. I’d have to want to write otherwise I wouldn’t get that same spark of excitement and fun when I first started.

Whenever I forced myself to try and write (because I’ve read books and have been given advice that the only way to overcome writers block is to write) nothing ever came out how I wanted. I would sit there for hours and not even have a full page done. And then I realized that, it wasn’t truly writer’s block I was suffering from. I actually do know where and how I want my fanfics to develop. I just lost my passion because life and depression got in the way.

I didn’t want my writing to become a chore so I’d wait until I was in the mood, but by waiting it would take up to months and sometimes a year or more until I’d finally feel like I could continue.

Honestly, I’ve always looked back on my fics so much, and I’ve even started so many that aren’t even finished. They were all spur of the moments, something that would ignite my interest and passion to write so I’d go with it in the hopes that it’d help fuel my desire to continue my other fanfictions.

Growing up is no joke because this is the phase of your life where you’re trying to discover yourself (and there’s no telling how long this phase could go for) and what you want to be. Life and time constricts you so much that you feel like you have no time for the things you enjoy so you actually lose the enjoyment you once had. For a time, I thought I actually didn’t enjoy writing anymore because it was never really a passion but just a passing hobby when I was young.

And honestly, writing still is a hobby to me and I’m slowly rediscovering the enjoyment I once had for it. It really takes time to rediscover it though. To anyone reading this and can connect with what I’m saying-

It gets better. I know everyone usually says that it only gets worse before it gets better, but it is profoundly true. Nothing in life ever just “gets better”. How can things get better from nothing? It literally has to drop to maybe your lowest point before it starts to get better. That’s when you begin to see things differently because you overcame your ordeal.

Earlier this year in March, my house caught on fire. I almost lost my mother and sister to the fire because they were asleep when it started. They were saved and made it out in time because our neighbors banged on all the doors and windows while shouting and woke them. They made it out, and that’s all I could ever ask for, but my entire life had begun in that house. Everything I ever had or owned was suddenly gone. At first I was completely detached from all the stuff I had lost. It was just materialistic stuff that could be replaced.

But afterwards when my family and I had to go through all of the wreckage to salvage things, it hit me just what I had lost. My whole childhood, all my physical memories, were completely ruined. And that can’t be replaced. I had a notebook that I drew and doodled in while in school. I loved to draw so much back then. I also had a sketchbook with drawings, and I had printouts of stories I wrote when I was in middle school, and stuffed animals and toys that really did hold meaning to my heart. And it was all gone.

This was stuff I could have kept and saved over the years and perhaps shown my own children one day, but now it’s all gone and it’s like I’m starting again from scratch. My father had shoveled a lot of the wreckage into a huge dumpster that was placed out on our front lawn. I had a Naruto and Goku doll (singed and ruined from the smoke and fire) sitting at the bottom of this huge pile in a dumpster puddle. I remember who had given me those as gifts and it hurt to see where they now ended up in.

My laptop miraculously wasn’t nearly as damaged. It was banged up a bit and had a lot of water damage on the inside from when the fire fighters came in and doused the entire house. It turned on long enough for me to save all of my fanfics onto a USB, but other than that, everything else in my laptop (another portion of my life) was gone.

Our home insurance did cover all the damages and I now have a new laptop, but it just isn’t the same sometimes. There are just so many things in my life that have happened over the past few years, but when I look back on them they all happened for a reason because they aligned themselves almost perfectly for what I believe I am preparing to head into now.

Currently I’m back in school and full time! Since graduating high school, I’ve only ever been able to go part time because I paid for classes out of pocket. I had to wait until I was 24 to apply for financial aid as an independent to receive the full amount. It took this long for me to finally feel like I’m not so “stuck” in my situation anymore. I can finally see doors appearing before me that soon I’ll be able to open.

I don’t really have any time anymore for anything because I go to school, and then go to work right afterwards, and then have assignments to do. It figures that now I’m feeling that spark for writing come back again lol It’s probably because my attitude towards myself and my life is changing, so I’m welcoming it and going to try and make time for it.

I can’t promise my updates are going to be faster now. All I can do is thank each and every one of you for sticking by me and being so patient. You guys were on my mind more often than I care to admit because I’m in your shoes too when waiting for someone to update a fanfic I love.

So again, from the very bottom of my heart, Thank You. And to anyone who has been going through the same ordeal as me or something similar, I wish you the very best. If you’re still pretty young (like under 20 or even in your 20s) your life is literally just beginning so don’t rush it. Everything will fall into place for you eventually; it just won’t happen as soon as you want it. Until then, hang in there

One of the up-most best, Sueric literally started off with the characters of Inuyasha, and then just created tons upon tons of her own! And I'm one of those people who HATE original characters. But she pulls it off so well that I just fell in love with every single original character she's made. It's so fascinating and she writes amazingly well. And my god she has like idk 10 sequels?!!! @.@ It's insane! XD

Also Blood Sings by Fireun Feather is not yaoi either. It's actually a pretty good Minato and Naruto father/son fanfic. No romance really, but its very good. Wish they'd update though...lol

Oh and Windschild8178's fanfics aren't yaoi either. Those two fanfics are freaking amazing, I CRIED and it basically follows the life of Naruto and the crap he puts up with. It's all angsty goodness. So well written too x.x They need to freaking update! DX

But in all, I really enjoyed these fanfics, and to anyone who is interested and clicks one of the links, I hope you enjoy them as well! Not to mention my own fics too XD Though I'm no where near as great and talented as these people!! lmao

That's about it for me. I love fanfics, especially completed ones. I cry whenever I read a good fanfic and the author doesn't finish it -.- They just abandon it!! That just saddens me. Oh well, I'll still always love it and reread it!
