As a baby, Reyna's grandparents had brought her to Avalon to escape the fate of the rest of their family. The island itself struggled to maintain balance in the absence of a King. Eleven years later Reyna finds the island on the verge of war between the Dukes of Avalon while the wild animal clans threaten the kingdom of men.
