She didn't think she'd ever felt so hurt in her entire life. She felt lost, disgusting, filthy. She felt so evil. For allowing it happen, for allowing such innocence to die so quickly. A flame that had been lit for only one flickering moment until the wind snuffed it out indefinitely. This was the last thing she had expected.

"How did I get so lucky?" She whispered to the empty room. "If I may, Miss Potts, I rather think it is Mr. Stark who is the lucky one." Pepper-centred! Because I can! And we all know how much I love one-shots!

There were so many things she wanted to say. Far too many unspoken words, far too many instances left in silence. And for some reason, whatever that may have been, they didn't seem to matter any longer at this point.

This is the story of Pepper's watch. We see her wearing it numerous times throughout the films, and I thought it be a nice, non-obvious little object to direct my attentions toward. You never see her with another watch on. Only this one. At least, that's what I noticed. Another in my serious of Pepper One-shots!

"I do anything and everything that Mr Stark requires. Including, occasionally, taking out the trash."

You're all I have left too, you know.' Her heart broke as she remembered those words that had brought such a sadness to his eyes. And that was the last thing she remembered. Screaming his name before she became a human bomb.
