Author has written 6 stories for Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy VII, Legend of Zelda, and Deadman Wonderland/デッドマン・ワンダーランド. Name: Mira (Mee-Ruh) Ruskin ATTENTION: It has been brought to my attention that a recent fanfiction I created is remarkably similar to one located on the old quizilla website. I have since deleted the comments accusing me of plagiarism. I went and read the story I was accused of copying and I must say I am wildly disappointed. The grammar and narrative arc is at a skill level considerably below mine. While there were some plot points that oddly matched (I won't mention in case you haven't read the fic) it wasn't like said plot points were a brilliant idea, and anyone who understands how a narrative plays out would have suggested that the same things happen. So, frankly I'm incredibly offended by these accusations. First of all I don't steal, and second if I did I wouldn't steal something written so poorly. I can't even find the other fic now, since I apparently was accused of this over a year ago (please forgive my dusty profile!!). I don't think the other one exists anymore? Not sure. In any event, I do not plagiarize. My work is my own, and while based on animes/video games/etc. I would never copy another writer's work. I believe in FanFiction as a great practice tool for writers. I would never steal from another writer and it's important that my audience knows this. I apologize for my recent absence from the fanfic community. I'm currently attending grad school and it takes up a considerable amount of my time. I promise I will try to update some of the things I've let fall by the wayside. I love seeing peoples' reactions to my work. So please comment with serious reviews, constructive criticism, & your opinion on my work. Remember, "To be forgotten is worse than death," but memories are linked together like a chain; remembering one leads to another & another and so on, so in truth they can be "forgotten but not lost." |
