S'up all you writers and readers out there! I'm the PencilComicsMaster and new on the FanFiction scene. How about I explain who I am?

Well, I'm just your average American dude and a proud citizen of St. Louis, MO who has a passion for drawing and reading. Over the course of my entire life, I've been imagining tons of characters and short comics, some for favorite cartoons and movies while others have original stories of their own. I collectively call these OCs, drawings, and stories 'Pencil Comics,' hence my username.

Here are a few of my personal favorite original characters.

Raptor

Raptor is the young human-velociraptor hybrid vigilante superhero and is also known as Bellwether’s Hybrid Hero. He first appear in May, 2007

Appearance

Bellwether’s Hybrid Hero has two different-looking personas. The first is Ed Carter, the high school honor student. As his civilian alias, he appears a well-toned teenager with black short hair and green-blue irises. He stands about 5 feet and 7 inches tall and weighs 172 lbs.

As Raptor, his physical look becomes entirely different. He has sharp teeth, sharp claws on his hands, his feet resembles an actual velociraptor’s with a large retractable claw on each foot, and has a protruding dinosaurian tail about 2 feet long. His skin becomes dark green with lime green strips running down his back and tail. Ed also has short dark-colored feathers growing from the top of his head and forearms and golden eyes that resembles the eyes of birds of prey. He also becomes lighter due to his hollow bone structure, making him only weigh 154 lbs.

For the costume, Raptor wears a long-sleeved dark grey shirt with a black-colored cowl with holes for his head feathers and forearm feathers to stick out. The sleeves’ ends are torn and tattered to give him a primal look. On his chest, is the specialized Raptor emblem which is a velociraptor claw within a red circle. Around his neck and connecting to his cowl, Ed wears a black tattered cape that reaches down to his waist. As a final touch, Raptor wears a pair of dark jeans with tattered sleeves and a dark yellow belt around his waist.

Personality

Ed is a very precise and calculating individual, looking at things with a scientific viewpoint. He shows a calm demeanor in most situations and tends to take many things seriously. Ed is also extremely focused with his goals and is absolutely determined to complete the tasks he’s set; this is what led him to become an overachiever in his studies and martial arts practices.

Ed is driven by a strong grudge against the criminal element that paralyzed his father. However, his sense of justice overlaps his vengeance, refraining himself from killing and stooping to the criminals’ level.

Raptor also strongly believes in humanity, claiming that we’re capable of doing incredible and amazing things despite the evil deeds we commit.

History

Ed Carter was born in Bellwether City to Police Captain Nick Carter and his wife Susan. They raised their son on strong values that heavily influenced his morality, making him an upright individual.

At the age of 5, Ed was interested in martial arts and began to take Tai Kwon Do and Judo lessons, to which he quickly mastered. He also spent much of his free time studying, becoming the top of his classes.

Ed and his father have a very close bond with each other and whenever Nick had free time, he would spend it with his family.

As the years passed, Ed exceeded in his education making him the top student at his schools. His intelligence is so great, that he was accepted into the Columbus High School for the Gifted, one of the finest schools in the state. One day, Ed’s class went on a special school field trip to a Paleocorp facility (A genetics corporation that managed to clone prehistoric animals) to see the company’s prehistoric animals. During the tour, Ed was separated from the group as he continued admiring the grace of the velociraptors.

When he noticed he was alone, he went off to look for the tour group and unknowingly wandered into one of the genetics labs. There, he accidentally was infused with velociraptor DNA from a new model of cloning devices. He at first didn't realize that his blood was now merged with dinosaur DNA and it wasn't until later that night that his body underwent a metamorphosis into his hybrid form for the very first time. At first, Ed was horrified by his transformation and kept it a secret from others, even his family. He quickly learned to control the metamorphosis, allowing him to switch between his human form and hybrid form.

A week passed on and no one noticed Ed’s secret. He didn't even transform once into his hybrid form. That all changed when his police captain father was shot through the spine during a shootout with members of the Wolf Blood gang. The wound permanently paralyzed Nick Carter from the waist down, right before he was about to be promoted to commissioner. With the loss of his legs, Nick could no longer continue his career at the Bellwether Police Department. Ed particularly took this hard, seeing how he looked up to his dad and now he could never walk again.

Ed was angry at what had happened and wanted to get back at the criminal element that crippled his father. He then realized that he could use his secret mutation to fight against the criminals of Bellwether City. He decided to hide his identity by wearing a hoodie and a bandanna mask.

As Ed did many vigilante acts like stopping robberies, busting drug sales, and rescuing hostages, rumors began to spread about a “dinosaur superhero” protecting the people of Bellwether. This led Ed to don an entire superhero costume and announced his presence as Raptor and has been fighting crime ever since.

Powers & Abilities

Superhuman Speed – Thanks to the velociraptor DNA, Raptor can move and react at speeds regular humans can not achieve. He can sprint up to 40-50 miles per hour and easily dodge attacks with swift movements.

Superhuman Agility – Raptor’s unique anatomy allows him to perform graceful jumps and flips that would put master gymnasts and acrobats to shame such as leaping over 20 ft in a single bound and perform a quadruple backflip with ease.

Superhuman Strength – Though Raptor might not be as strong as Palestine or Cosmidas, he is still stronger than the average human and with his strict workout schedule; he is capable of pressing over 1500lbs.

Superhuman Senses – As a consequence for being part predatory dinosaur, Raptor’s senses easily surpasses human senses. His eyes allow him to see in the dark and over long distances, his nose can pick up scents a mile away, and his hearing is far greater than a regular human’s.

Claws and Teeth – As a velociraptor-human hybrid, Raptor possesses prominent claws and sharp teeth. His claws are sharp enough to be used as fatal weapons and can even slice through metal chains.

Martial Arts Master – Raptor is a renowned master of several different styles of martial arts. Before his mutation, Ed was a master of Judo and Tae Kwon Do. After becoming a vigilante hero however, Ed began to learn more martial arts to increase his fighting prowess and quickly mastered them like Karate, Tai Chi, Kendo, and Southern Dragon style Kung Fu. He has even train with the Golden Dragon, one of the greatest martial artists alive in the Pencil Comics world, during his summer in Beijing. In his fights, Raptor uses an idiosyncratic admixture of all the martial arts he knows. He’s even invented his own martial art that he calls Unguis Laedo Ledo, which is Latin for “Claw Strike.” This martial art specializes in precise and swift attacks with his claws that could quickly incapacitate and wound enemies.

Genius Intellect – Raptor possesses a brilliant mind and possibly has an IQ well over 200. He is a master strategist who can outwit many of his foes and can be an exceptional leader when the time is right. He is a skilled self-taught detective and is fluent in English, Russian, Chinese, Spanish, Latin, and Japanese. Raptor has great knowledge of biology, geology, chemistry, criminology, history, mathematics, technology, and physics.

Indomitable Willpower – Raptor has willpower so strong; he’s been known to survive poisoning, can heal in record time, and overcome mind control with only sheer will.

Stealth – As half velociraptor, Bellwether’s Hybrid Hero has natural predatory instincts which give him an uncanny stalking ability and stealth skills. He can stalk an individual for hours and not be detected and wait for the right moment to strike.

Raptor Screech – As a side affect of the forced DNA merge, Raptor has a sonic scream attack that can incapacitate or knock away foes. The screech can be concussive and could even make a person deaf at close range.

Weakness

Because of his bird-like bone structure, he is more susceptible to physical attacks than most people. This is why Raptor prefers using his speed, agility, and stealth to take down enemies. If he is hit with enough force, the impact could break many of his bones and could even kill him.

Kenny Washington

Ken “Kenny” Washington is the current titleholder of the occupation Cosmidas, the incredibly powerful champion deployed by the Celestial Sentinels to perverse peace and order within the universe. He is also to first human in history to be chosen for the title. He first appeared in October, 2011.

Appearance

Kenny is a lean human Caucasian teenager of average height with bright blue eyes and long brunet hair that’s almost always fastened into a ponytail (or stalliontail as he prefers it.)

When not on duty, Kenny is seen wearing his normal Earth clothes which usually consist of a pair of jeans, some sort of T-shirt, and a pair of running sneakers. But when he needs to be the Cosmic Officer, Kenny can instantly change into the standard Cosmidas uniform. This uniform consists of a top which resembles a blue short-sleeved T-shirt with gold trimmings and styles and a bright silver emblem of the Celestial Sentinels on his chest in a diamond-shaped shield. He also wears a broad gold-colored belt with a silver diamond-shaped clip and a gold sash harnessed to his right hip and dangling from his left. Kenny also wears blue long-sleeved pants with gold cuffs and pairs of sneaker-like gold shoes and gold fingerless gloves. He also wears a bright silver cape around his neck that drapes slightly over his left shoulder.

Personality

Kenny is headstrong, confident, and a bit of a show-off sometimes. He is recognized as the class comedian by his peers at school for his wisecracks, sarcasm, and nicknaming. For example, Kenny would call his friend and comrade, Raptor, “Raps,” and comically teases his enemies during fights.

Despite his comical behavior, Kenny can become serious at the drop of a hat. For instance, when a friend or innocent bystander is in danger or when he’s facing a foe of true malicious intentions, Kenny becomes more focused of the task at hand and makes it his #1 priority.

Another obvious trait Kenny has is a great kind heart which he has showed for his whole life. He is known to volunteer for charity work, defend kids from bullies, and selflessly helping his single mother with work around the house. After his father left the family when his little brother Spencer was born, Kenny stepped up and sort of became a father figure to his baby brother, caring for and loving him a much as he could.

Though the teen is somewhat of a showboat, he can be surprisingly humble about his amazing powers and abilities, not letting them go to his head and avoid developing a god complex.

Kenny has shown to be very sensitive about his chosen hairstyle. If someone describes it as a ponytail, Kenny angrily points out to them it’s a “men’s stalliontail” and that it’s completely different. Kenny also hates algebra, which he once stated he’d rather fight Emperor Zenith, Dominance, and Cthulhu all at once than take an algebra test.

History

Kenny was born in Kingston, a small town in Vermont, USA. His parents were Heather Sullivan and Lloyd Washington, a young unmarried couple. While Heather showed constant interest in her son, Lloyd seemed uncaring, who preferred going to bars than staying at home.

By the time Kenny was 7 years old; his mom was pregnant with his little brother. When Lloyd heard of another kid on the way, he decided to leave because didn't want to deal with another child. After the separation, Heather struggled with the emotional pain from the split-up and supporting a growing family by herself.

It was a long, tough journey, but the single mother managed to raise her two sons into kind, loving, good-hearted boys. Kenny is currently enrolled at Kingston High School as a senior and Spencer is in the 5th grade at Baxter Elementary.

Kenny’s Recruitment

One day as Kenny was walking home from school, he felt a strange, almost divine-like, sensation taking over his body. The teen couldn't understand what was going on. The next moment, Kenny was transported millions of light years to the center of the universe within a second. The next thing Kenny knew, he was standing before tall, luminescent beings in an impressive celestial fortress.

The beings told the frightened and confused human that they were the Celestial Sentinels, the guardians of peace and order within the cosmos. They informed Kenny that they have watched him for some time and was impressed by his good nature. The Sentinels told Kenny was brought to the Celestial Keep to be the next line of Cosmidas, the champion of the universe. They then empowered Kenny with the Cosmidas Aura, making Kenny a channel point of the universe’s cosmic energy. This gave Kenny godly strength, speed, and endurance. Since then, Kenny has served part time as Cosmidas, fighting against evil across the universe and maintaining harmony among its inhabitants.

Powers, Authorities, & Abilities

Uniform Transfer – Kenny possesses the ability to instantly change into his Cosmidas uniform at will and vice versa. However, when he’s not in his Cosmidas form, Kenny only has access to a small fraction of his powers.

Authority – Like a police officer on Earth, Kenny has a special authority as Cosmidas. Every civilization with access to advanced space travel recognizes the Cosmidas uniform and what it stands for.

Cosmidas also has a higher rank than the Astral Police Force, a police corps also employed by the Celestial Sentinels. Whenever a situation is beyond their capability, the Astral Police request assistance of Cosmidas from the Celestial Sentinels.

Cosmidas’ fields of duration involved preventing and resolving global civil wars, defending entire worlds and realms from off-world invasions, finding and arresting criminals registered on the Critically Wanted List, and representing the Celestial Sentinels in challenges and events.

Super Strength – The Cosmidas Aura greatly improves the body, thus giving Kenny unbelievable amounts of physical strength; godlike one could say. It’s once been recorded by an AWS (Artificial Weight Simulator) that a Cosmidas officer can press 10 sextillion tons but it’s been presumed that Kenny Washington can exceed that limit, making him arguably the strongest Cosmidas officer in history. With that kind of strength within him, Kenny can move entire planets with ease and a single clap of his hands could create a shock wave strong enough to destroy a small solar system.

This meant however Kenny must always restrain this strength, because he could unintentionally destroy everything around him.

Flight – As the Cosmic Officer, Cosmidas possesses the power of flight.

Super Speed – In addition to being gifted with super strength, the Cosmidas Aura gives him incredible speed; speeds that allow him to move, run, and fly faster than light. It’s been estimated that Cosmidas can move over 20 times the speed of light. At that kind of speed, he can move so fast that he can’t be seen by the naked eye, travel to the next galaxy in less than 5 minutes, and even pass into other dimensions.

With his speed, Cosmidas can create powerful tailwinds that equal the force and power of mega-hurricanes and tornadoes.

Invulnerability – The Cosmidas Aura, as mentioned before, incredibility improves Cosmidas’ body. This gives the Cosmic Officer near invulnerability. He could take the force of being hit by a planet-sized object at light speed and withstand the heat of 50 stars exploding in his face and still be okay. Kenny is also immune to most diseases, radiation, and toxins in the universe and can survive unprotected in space indefinitely. However, Cosmidas can still be hurt by things like antimatter, telepathy, Ogun’s Annihilation Gaze, and powerful magic used by archmages and gods.

Cosmidas can also be hurt with unbelievable levels of physical damage. This is shown when Kenny fights adversaries that can hit as hard as he can, like Ogun, Dominance, Emperor Zenith, and Omnis.

Regenerative Healing Factor – Though he’s nearly invulnerable, Cosmidas can still be hurt. When that happens, his body can heal itself at a miraculous rate. Kenny can knit broken bones back together, replace damaged tissue, and close normally fatal wounds within minutes.

Stamina – Cosmidas can survive indefinitely without food, water, oxygen, and rest and still have great energy due to being sustained by the Cosmidas Aura.

Cosmic Energy Manipulation – The main power that Cosmidas possesses is complete control and mastery of cosmic rays; a power that was first mastered by the Celestial Sentinels. Kenny can feel all the cosmic energy around him and can even absorb it into his body, making him more powerful.

Cosmidas can disperse the cosmic energy within him offensively. He can do this by firing powerful beams of pure cosmic energy from his hands and eyes like lasers. The amount of energy and power dispersed in these beams varies at how strong Kenny wishes the beams to be.They could be as harmless as little flashes of light to as devastating as powerful blasts of cosmic radiation strong enough to destroy entire worlds. Kenny can also gather masses of cosmic radiation with mere thought, creating spheres, bursts, walls, and even weapons made out of cosmic energy.

Other Skills – Kenny not only possesses the powers of Cosmidas, he also has many other skills and abilities. For example, the teen is a very capable juggler, able to juggle multiple objects at once. He is also a talented drawer, a skilled basketball player, and an expert in many first-person shooter video games.
