A portal tears apart the barriers between worlds, dragging Emma and Hook down with it. The search for the portal that will lead back to Storybrooke detours through new lands and old territories where things are no longer the way they were. Trust is no longer an option, any alliance is temporary and each fight is worse than the last. Captain Swan.

Hook overhears a conversation aboard the Jolly Roger that changes everything, and complicates the string of promises, both spoken and unspoken, that he's made to Emma Swan since leaving Storybrooke.

Emma likes to sleep with her window open. She never quite realized who she'd be inviting in. All things considered, however, Captain Hook showing up in her bedroom after midnight is hardly the worst of his offenses. Emma knows how to handle Hook. (AU post "Welcome to Storybrooke". Emma awakes to find herself kidnapped by one infuriating pirate captain on board the Jolly Roger, but despite his claims of vengeance, there may be more to Hook's actions than either one of them wants to admit.
