AU. In 1945, Ernest Littlefield ventures through the Stargate and manages to convey that he is alive via a radio set. This, coupled with a more intact Heliopolis, result in the development of the Stargate Initiative, dedicated to using the stargate for the benefit of the USA and mankind.

SG1, Atlantis, and SGU all work towards a brighter future. Past conflicts heat up more than imagined, and a long wondered question is answered. Ancients, Tauri, Asgard, Furling, and a few others thrown in. This ties up the loose ends the writers left us.
