This is a multichapter story of two very different yet surprisingly similar sets of siblings: Zuko and Azula, and Sokka and Katara and how they change over time; either growing closer or drifting apart.

Everyone seemed to forget that behind the sharp mask of the haughty princess was a little girl, insecure despite her status of perfection. And the last crucial element lost along the road was that Ursa was her mother too. Even if no one would accept that.

Sokka and Katara have a theory that Mai and Toph are more similar than they think. A Mai and Toph friendship fic, because you can always use more of those. Also some Sokka Katara bonding inside. Takes place after everything.
