Um so what to say. Well I am here because I first start watching True Blood. By the time season 1 ended I couldn't get enough. Then I started to read the books and instantly became addicted. But I really got into fanfiction when I spent the first half of '09 studying abroad without HBO on demand or my dvd player (or a TV, for that matter). And this seemed like a suitable alternative. I myself am not a writer and I am constantly amazed by the talent and effort put into the stories here. Thank you all so much, you made the cold winter nights in Austria fly by. Now I am back stateside and I am hopelessly addicted. I've taken a shining to the All Human stories. Don't get me wrong I love the vampire stories too. But my little brain gets confused with what I have read here and what CH herself has published. And now it has to contend with the plot changes on True Blood. I am seriously close to short circuiting!

Ok, so now that the 2nd season is over, I am wondering what will be in store for season 3. Season 2 had some fun times but it also had some things they really should have done without. I am not giving up yet, but I do wish they would cover some more of the more memorable moments from the books - you all know what I am talking about! :) And as much as I love Eric's new hair, he just seemed more badass with it longer, much more Sheriff of Area 5. It is almost like he is a completely different character from the 1st season. I am also not content with the lack of explanation for it not growing back. They could have come up with something! If they are going to rewrite traditional vampire folklore, simply because the wig wasn't cooperating, then I might as well head on over to the Twilight franchise. No disrespect to Twilight fans but I have always liked vampire folklore; vampires can't go out in the sunlight, they drink blood, they can't procreate and they most definitely do not sparkle. Perhaps one day I will read the books or see the movies, from what I have heard they sound enjoyable. I just don't consider them truly vampires. Perhaps they should have been explained as some sort of vampire offshoot/evolution. Now that I have pissed off a significant amount of people I will end my ramblings.
