Tumblr: / Deviantart: Stories In Progress (or ones I plan on eventually touching again at some point): Laevateinn: Based on the Norse poem Fjölsvinnsmál (Fjölsvinnsmál and Grógaldr, but published together under Svipdagsmál). The sword is mentioned to have once been Lopt's (Loki) and the poems are some of the earlier Eddas. Basically, Loki's on a hunt for a mortal who can help him access his weapon in addition to his punishment; a classic idea of going on a journey and hoping it changes the person. (In the poem, the way to get the sword is discussed between two mortals, and I liked the idea of someone ordinary being thrust onto a quest). Potentially going to be LokixOC later on, but let's just hope I make to introducing the main character(s) to their problem. Take What You Can, Give Nothing Back (Will eventually be picked up again): A group of runaways (some Hogwarts students, some Muggle borns who used to work at the Ministry), are hitting the Snatchers where it hurts; their stomachs and their wallets. Since the Snatchers are sort-of working outside of the law and taking their food and objects, it's time they fought back. They steal from small bands of Snatchers; gold, wands, but most importantly, food. But when someone slips to Scabior's group when they'll be hit, they're caught redhanded... Gone Awry (Will eventually be picked up again): Loki's magic gets interference from the technology on the S.H.I.E.L.D base when he tries to animate a stuffed kitten. Stuck as a kitten, he gets scooped up by a S.H.I.E.L.D agent and taken to her home. He has to convince her to help him get back to base to grab stuff in order to reverse the spell. And...yeah...still working out details... |
