My name is Lexi, as my user shows, and I’m an aspiring author just like most of you!

A little about me:

When I was 17, I’m now 20, I was struck by a car while walking across the street to get my mail. I ended up with a broken sternum, broken shoulder blade, 3 broken ribs, a cracked skull, and a pulverized vertebrae. The surgery consisted of removing the bone shards from my spinal cord and putting a cadaver in it’s place. My surgeon said it’s a miracle that I am still walking today. Of course, there are still probelms such as chronic back pain, lost 70% mobility in my back, and I can’t feel the majority of my right leg. This of course resulted in mental illnesses, which are important to note as they prevent me from being active sometimes. I’ve got depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

Then 8 months later after I turned 18 and just before I graduated high school, I found out my daddy has been murdered in his apartment. A few days later, his murders were arrested and revealed that they were in fact my cousins. I miss my dad terribly and have nothing to do with his killers.

On a brighter note, I’m an active writer currently working on my first ever original novel. I live in Southern Indiana and it shows in my words sometimes. I’ve graduated from high school with honors despite missing half of my senior year due to my accident. I’m in a loving relationship with a man who treats me like a queen. I have a baby niece on the way, set to arrive in September. I have 5 sisters, 4 are full blood and one half blood, all with the same dad. I’m an avid LGBTQ supporter, even in the community myself as an out and proud non-binary pansexual. Super patriotic for my beautiful country. Do not like our current president. And I’m a dog mommy.
