My name is Sapphire and I am bad at intros.

I'm into Camus, occasional campy horror, the Bluth family, shitty anime, and Woody Allen (yikes) but honestly, The genre doesn't really matter to me as long as it's well written.

I hate cliches. Just don't do it.

Ranting is kind of my thing and I get easily carried away and distracted.

I'm almost ashamed to say I am a huge fan of V.C. Andrews work and have been ever since my very first time reading Flowers in the Attic in 7th grade at the ripe age of 13 (one would argue much too young an age to be exposed to Andrews' twisted, incestuous world of evil grandmothers and horrific family secrets). Nonetheless, I still continue to read (and re-read) her novels as well as cringe at and critique the ghastly T.V.-movie adaptations of her stories.

One might describe me as a film whore or a Ramen noodle aficionado.

My favorite stories have a twist every place you expected a turn and a straight shot upward where you expected a plateau. Keep me on my toes!

I can't stand action films that lack plot, which seems to be a common recurrence in modern Hollywood films. That honestly make me disappointed in modern America. Just why?

Also what's with Nora Roberts? I don't even know the lady, never read any of her books or anything, yet I see her name everywhere. Every middle-aged couple's garage sale I happen upon features numerous of her titles. Every book sale I've been to has whole shelves dedicated to her thousands of same-size, same-cover-font, similar-vague-name novels. And go her, I suppose. She must really enjoy writing... But with that many books, is there really any substance left? Then again, I've been known to judge before I get to know something so what do I know?

Fun fact about me: I once tried to smoke two cigarettes, one shoved in each nostril and drink soda at the same time and it didn't really work out well.

Another fun fact: I'm not usually such an idiot, I promise.

I think I'll try to wrap up this unorganized pile of nobody-gives-a-fuck and leave you all with a quote that has really inspired me and changed my personal everyday philosophy:

"I'd rather smoke crack than eat cheese from a tin." -Gwyneth Paltrow
