Hello!

I only write fanfiction from time to time, when a story gets stuck in my head and I can't make it go away any other way.

It would appear that I tend towards the romantic, but not the explicit; I tend to like my sexual tension unresolved -- I'm old enough to remember the lessons of "Moonlighting" -- and my stuff would probably be pretty mildly rated.

I'm an academic, so I read widely; I am not, generally, a creative writer, so this whole process feels a bit awkward to me. I'll keep at it as long as it is fun!

My interests are many and varied. In general, I enjoy a variety of mystery fiction -- in books, on TV (I have a longtime L&O problem), and in film. I enjoy some Science Fiction -- Firefly, Doctor Who -- but I'm not as into it as some are. I also read a lot of Latin American literature, American ethnic writers, graphic novels, women writers, and environmental writing.

I'm enjoying what I'm reading; I hope others will enjoy what I'm writing.
