This is an alternative take of the flashback we saw at the end of 1x15 - Le Grand Guignol. What would/could have happened if Niklaus understood Rebekah when she blamed herself for their father coming to town.

Set after 2x14—"Now, perhaps, a better man has entered Hope's life, and having seen that, you are shaken to your core."—Hope proves to Klaus that Elijah's words meant nothing.

He always takes the time to tell Hope a bed time story. She and Jackson attempted it once and they were greeted by a sobbing two year old. Stating that they didn't know the story only her daddy knows.

Set after 2x13—"I know that you're waiting for me to disprove my words, Kol, and I don't blame you. But, what I am about to show you, allow you to take part in will prove, once and for all, that I do consider you a part of this family." Kol meets his niece for the first time.

For the Mikaelson siblings, it wasn't always bitterness and vengeance, betrayal and vendettas. There were times that were fun, when they bonded and when things were good. This was one of those times. It might have wasted three days and lots of braincells, but none of them would choose to do anything else with those times or those braincells.
