A few months after the battle of New York Loki appears back on Stark Tower. He is on the run. Tony Stark gets caught up in the crossfire and is taken along with him. The Avengers make a mistake, with tragic consequences. Tony is accused of supporting a terrorist organization; trust is destroyed, friendships are broken and the world is at risk. Someone needs to pick up the pieces and it's not the person anyone expects. Clearly, I suck at summaries, but give it a go! Whumpy team!fic, hopefully with lots of action and some Pepperony.

"You asked what would happen in war against him?" Fury asked, leaning back with a frown before narrowing his eye on Steve, "Stark has contacts, money, brains, people working for him, and is as impossible to get rid of as a wart-" He sighed, a slight twitch of the lips showing a grim smile. "Captain- if we were ever against Stark, there wouldn't be a fight- we'd be dead already."

Sometimes, annoying your team mates is just too easy. Started as a one-shot, will be a small series instead. Slight Pepperony, Tonycentric with appearences from the rest of the team and Pepper.

Because everyone needs to write a "when Pepper comes back after the battle" story. This is my two cents, a story in which Pepper Potts meets the Avengers.
