For the record, I have a tendency to latch on to any series that is doomed for the cutting block by season three, leaving me pissed and wanting more. I guess I fall into that category of 'cult folower' and most of what I follow ends up a 'cult hit'. Therefore after the curtain drops permanently, like many other diehards, I take refuge in fanfiction to quench my thirst for more stories featuring the characters I love. That said, after spending years searching for the stories I wanted to hear, I've finally realized most of them haven't been written yet. Or they've fallen into that realm of 'rehashed' plots that tends to fall shy of a truly original experience. I'm hoping to face the issue with some stories of my own. Some of you are destined to hate my writing. I'm fine with that. There are no doors here, and the back button serves it's purpose well. If you don't hate it, or even *gasp* like it, please comment. I love to hear from people. I always appreciate anyone willing to offer productive criticism. Series I stick to, and may actually base fic on include: Beauty and the Beast (first and foremost); Dark Angel; X-Files; Gargoyles; "When the Wind Blows" by James Patterson; CSI; NCIS; and finally Bones. Currently I'm working on a crossover fic, styled after and loosely based on "When the Wind Blows" to be posted as soon as I have a substantial idea of where I'm heading with it. |
