Strategy and finance whizkid by day, story-teller by night! I have been lurking around here for years, and finally worked up the willpower to write something of my own. Mostly because after 5 years in management consulting, I feel like I need to choose between my love of writing and my current career; it is exhausting to do both. However, before I say "kthanxbai" to a cushy salary I have become shockingly addicted to, I want to be sure I can actually pull-off a full length novel ;)

When I work with young entrepreneurs, I often ask them to build a "minimum viable product (MVP)" - something that at least 100 customers will pay for before they quit school or work to build a startup. Fire and Ice is my MVP - to discover my voice as writer, find the discipline to structure and write a novel instead of drabbles, and see if I can hustle-up the magic "100 customers" proof before I take the leap into full-time writing.

So kind readers, please be critical - it will no doubt hurt my ego in the short-term but will save me from a penniless existence a couple of years down the line.
