Who am I? Why, just what my pen name indicates. I'm Doctor Napalm, a superhero sadly ignored by DC, Marvel, and their ilk. During the day I'm an mild-mannered but out-of-work paper pusher seeking gainful employment. By night I become a paragon of steel. Using my Napalm Fart power and wielding my Neuro-plasmatic Booger gun, my never-ending mission (accompanied by my sidekick and life partner, Patemalah21) is to thwart the evil minions of my arch-enemy and ruthless rogue, The Garlic Hurricane.

I decided to take up writing fan fiction at the urging of my loving wife. I've done duty proofreading her fan fiction and making creative suggestions, and she has goaded me into trying my hand at it. Hopefully it will give me something to do besides updating my multiple Internet blogs and playing with Photoshop and Angry Birds all day.

I've started out with Sherlock fan fiction because that's what my wife writes. A lot of you like her writing style. She goes in a more romantic direction than I do; what can I say? I'm a man, none of that mushy stuff for me. My first work was a multi-chapter mystery with a touch of humor. While I enjoyed writing it, I bogged down with the plot and then had some major health problems that sort of forced me to end the story rather abruptly. I wasn't happy with how I ended it. I've since been concentrating on one shots with more humor. Having helped my wife quite a bit with research on her stories, I have a slightly better understanding of the Sherlock genre than the average Joe. I don't claim to be an expert, so you may catch me in some errors here and there. I'm American, not British, so the language differences may be a problem upon occasion. Also, I've watched most of the show episodes only once, so some of my characters may be a trifle off. My wife is proofreading for me, so I'm hoping that she'll catch most of the glaring errors.

An avid life-long reader, I cut my reading teeth on classic science fiction, Verne, Wells, Heinlein, Asimov, Foster, etc. After many, many years reading that genre, I finally got burned out on it and switched to action adventures and murder mysteries about fifteen or twenty years ago. My current favorite authors include John Sanford, Robert B. Parker, Lee Child, Kathy Reichs and James Patterson, just to name a few.
