When Voyager runs into a ship the Caretaker 'sent home' that didn't exactly arrive where it was supposed to, Kathryn is forced to reevaluate her guilt over stranding her ship in the DQ. And the fact that one of the people on that ship knows Chakotay, intimately, causes her to reevalute some things in her personal life as well.

Chakotay is blinded in an accident on Dorvan. Kathryn takes leave from the admiralty to care for him as he struggles to find his way from darkness and feeling less than the man she has known for almost 8 years. Chakotays POV.
