 Hey All, I figured that there are generally two people on here. There are those who read fanfiction, and those who write. I'll admit that I'm mostly a reader, so a fic with my name as the author is going to be a rarity at best. I'm not that confident of a writer, and am hoping that if I write/post a few stories on here then my confidence level will inch up along with my actual ability to write. Things to point out to me: Development:While I'm not a fan of criticism (and who is?), I am willing to take and apply constructive criticism after I put my hurt feelings back in order. To be honest, I really need it. So in the event that I do write a fic and you have some tips for writing development, let me know. Grammar: Atrocious grammar is one of my pet peeves, though I will admit that my writing can seem more rambling than pointed. Please let me know when I have a sentence that just sounds weird...because odds are that I read it quickly and I know what I was trying to say. The nonsensical: In my opinion, a nonsensical plot line is something that can completely ruin a fic. I'm not talking AUs, I mean those moments where a character does something that causes the reader to think "How have you made it this far in life?" due to the constant lack of common sense a character suddenly portrays. The nonsensical, I guess, is just another way of saying unrealistic. If you find yourself reading and thinking "Oh, come on!" please let me know, or feel free to ask questions. Commendation: Yeah I'm human, so I love me some positive affirmation. If you like something I write, please let me know :)Other than that, my main fanfiction obsession is The Outsiders. It has been my favorite book since I first picked it up and it's one of the only books that I will reread. I hope to actually finish a story in the near future, and be confident enough to post it here. I will go ahead and say that the plot will probably not be very original, and there will most likely be some main character torture (gotta love it). In the mean time, I will just be over here...quietly stalking other authors. SoraSeven |
