![]() Author has written 1 story for Dragon Ball Z. First off I will begin by saying being a writer is extremely difficult and I do not claim to be the best writer. I feel there is no such thing as a perfect story. There is always room to improve no matter what it is. I'm new to the world of writing. Most people would say I'm a slow writer. But this does not stop or discourage me from writing. I always finish what I start. Writing is no exception. I may be slow at getting chapters out. But that is due to the fact that I truly put effort into them. Telling a complex story takes time. I also feel that longer chapters are better than short ones. To me, longer chapters indicate more complexity, more descriptive language, more depth in the portrayal of the characters. I don't feel shorter chapters necessarily build better stories or characters. Longer chapters visually promise a more complex, more immersive read. Some people may disagree, but I care more about diversity and creativity, over easy and compact. Overall, I don't think chapter length matters for the story being told. Chapters are as long as they need to be to tell the right story. I try not to focus on the clock or the calendar when it comes to writing. Instead I let the writing of the story take its own natural course. Stay open to the possibilities that come with being shaken out of the intentions, even if that means a more significant time investment in the story. Great stories are created in the deep exploration of the characterization, form and grace of that particular story, which may happen at the pace of a swiftly run race or a slow walk on a meandering path. We all have our lives and work schedules. So it's not always easy to find time for writing. But on the bright side. Waiting longer does present more ideas upon further thinking. As far as DBZ goes. I'm fully aware of the canon aspect. However I don't feel that applies to a fictional story. I think for the sake of enjoyment it's not important. The only time canon is necessary or important is when talking about the original author's work. Something doesn't have to be canon in order to be understood or enjoyed. I've never understood why canon is taken so seriously. Especially when it comes to power levels. There is no real logic to explain anyone's power level past the Frieza arc. The manga writers never bothered to show them closer to reality or in full context. They all have insane power levels that should do more than what's shown. People may talk about how "strong" a certain character is supposed to be. But reality is, power levels after Frieza make no sense. For example, in his first form, Frieza can destroy a planet and/or wipe out nearly the entire saiyan race with a single finger. If that's the case, why can't anyone after that destroy a planet just by powering up, breathing or less effort? Then we get to the Majin Buu saga where power levels far exceed everything before it. Seems like by this point it would take a whole universe just for one fight to occur. We never got to see what every warrior was "truly" capable of. No logic at all in that aspect. Canon power levels by this point are a joke. So I don't think it's fair to judge someone for making a character stronger as long as there is a reasonable explanation or plot device behind it. Power increases are present quite a bit in DBZ. I'd just prefer it to be in the realm of possibility. I like to go with what's "enjoyable" Not by what's canon. I myself do not care about what is canon, never did. As long as I'm enjoying the content or the story is all that really matters. Just because something is canon does NOT automatically mean it's good or should be accepted. I mean, does it not being cannon really ruin it for you? If it does, perhaps you should have a bit more of an open mind. DBZ has plenty of enjoyable non-canon material, like the movies. Canon is simply what the creator wrote, in other-words "Their particular version of a story." But who really cares about canon for an anime that's over 30 plus years old anymore? Thankfully that's why we have fanfiction. To go beyond, or take a different route than the creator. You never know where someone's mind can go. Sometimes it can be a thrill ride. So whether its canon, non canon, or fan made, it's all Dragon Ball. If you're that serious about canon, then you shouldn't be on this site to begin with, because literally nothing on this site is canon within any of its original shows/movies/books/whatevers. This site is called "FanFiction," key word "Fiction" meaning it's not real or canon anyways, and at the end of the day its entertainment. Like anything else that you watch, read, or talk about. A little about myself: I've been a huge DBZ fan for a very long time. I have a lot of knowledge about DBZ and I know the characters extremely well. I thought about ways I could make the series better. So I decided to share those ideas with the fans. I live in a "What If" Universe when it comes to writing. I am a very logical and deep thinker when it comes to writing. I spend a lot of time thinking about where a certain story can go and I like to think outside of the box. It's hard to make anything perfect and I understand not everyone is going to agree with what I write. But that's life and not even the most professional writers in the world can expect everyone to agree with them. A writer will fail horribly if they have that mindset. I understand that everyone has their own opinion, and it's of course your decision to agree or disagree. It's impossible for any writer to force someone to agree with them. I'm mainly writing to share my ideas with the fans. I do NOT abject to constructive criticism and I will listen to ideas or requests. That can be left as a PM. So if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to ask. I am not afraid to have a dragon ball discussion or debate. Note: Fanfiction does not allow the ability to respond to guest comments. So if you leave a comment as a guest. I will not be able to respond. If you have a question. It's best to do that as a PM. Stories Super Android 18 (Dragon Ball Xenoverse Series!) This is my first story. However it's a work in progress. I plan to get close to a million words by the time I'm done. This is meant to be a very long fic. In fact, I put a lot of thought and determination into each chapter. If you care more about diversity and creativity, then this is the place to be. I like to think people can respect the idea of investing more time in a story. After seeing Super 17 (Who is not canon of course) I felt it was unfair that Eighteen got the shaft. So I decided to write a story about a Super Android Eighteen. It would be interesting to see a female character who can keep up with Goku, Vegeta and the rest of the top saiyans. I understand it may feel a bit different then what people are used to. But it's still a good one. This is something that DBZ has never really had. Considering that practically every other anime besides DBZ has a female character that is usually able to keep up with the rest of the cast, I don't see any logical evidence to overturn this idea. Eighteen is meant to be a fighter, that's the way her character is meant to be. Having her be a pointless stay at home mom is really out of character for her in the long run. I chose Eighteen because she is easily one of the most underrated, underappreciated characters in this series. She's not autistically naive like Goku, she possesses amazing female fatal traits, ice cold demeanor, whilst showing a lot of care for her daughter, and Krillin. She has an interesting (though unexplored) history, a human turned android through sick twisted science experiments. She also has the potential to be nothing but pure evil as we've seen in Future Trunks' timeline, but like Vegeta and Piccolo, her lust for evil was changed upon experiencing Krillin's kindness. Thus, Android 18 would fit this role perfectly. DBZ needs natural born killers and lean mean fighting machines. People who can get the job done. So many unused characters in DBZ with so much potential. This story will re-cap the Majin Buu saga with some minor differences. Then continue with this character into my own version of an alternate story of my own. There won't be much of Super in this story due to the face that I don't really care for it. I had high hopes when it first came out. Unfortunately, it ruined my childhood worse than GT did. I strongly dislike Dragon Ball Super, and I really mean it. I have never in my entire life felt so disrespected as when watching this parody, not even when watching Dragon Ball Evolution, because at least then it was obvious that it was just a gimmick, but super was advertised as a legitimate, full-fledged canon continuation to Z, it turns out to be a typical corporate, low quality cash grab. It’s nothing like the previous series were; the only thing it has from DB are the characters who don’t really behave like themselves anyway. Art-style, character design, soundtrack, sound effects, the way fighting is done, storytelling, all of this changed for the worse. This is literally a pathetic attempt to milk this franchise till it bleeds. Dragon Ball Super is the worst piece of fiction ever created. This anime is an absolute disgrace to Dragon Ball Z, and it should've never been made. The only reason anyone even likes Dragon Ball Super is because it has the words "Dragon Ball" in the title. Everyone would be hating on it if it was its own series, but if Dragon Ball is on it then nope people will like it. Why is it that some writers/creators don't know when to end a series? They end up milking it so hard to the point where it becomes utter garbage just for the sake of making more money. Dragon Ball Super is the perfect example of milking at it's finest. Dragon Ball Z ended normally, it should've never went on after that. Unfortunately, Dragon Ball Super takes everything that made Dragon Ball Z so great and throws it out the window. All of the characters and everything we used to love about Dragon Ball Z turned into total trash. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this because of nostalgia. From a quality standpoint, Dragon Ball Super is objectively worse than Dragon Ball Z. Now here are some reasons as to why Dragon Ball Super is a complete and utter failure. Again, Dragon Ball Super takes everything that made DBZ great and just throws it out. There is no great character development in Dragon Ball Super like there was in Dragon Ball Z. The fights are not nearly as exciting to watch and not nearly as good as in general. The characters become complete and utter garbage. The villains are awful. The story arcs are hands down some of the worst story arcs in the entire Dragon Ball series. First off, the characters. This anime has completely ruined some amazing characters, and also introduces us to even more bad characters. Firstly, Vegeta's character has been ruined on multiple occasions. In this animes early stages, we see Vegeta kissing Beerus' ass. That was absolutely ridiculous. I understand that he was just trying to keep the earth safe, but this completely contradicted his character. Vegeta would've never kissed Frieza's ass no matter what happened. Not even Cell or Majin Buu. I mean, he even sacrificed himself to try and defeat Majin Buu. Vegeta has always been a prideful warrior, but this trash anime makes him someone's slave for the sake of unfunny comedy. Not only that, but Vegeta just doesn't act the same at all. You see Vegeta in the ToP arc making friendship speeches and saying things that he would never say. When he got a nonsensical friendship power-up against Toppo to win I was absolutely disgusted. It's as if the show just randomly turned into Fairy Tail...On multiple occasions he's acting completely out of character, which is awful writing. The rest of the Z fighters are a complete joke. Gohan is way too into academics now. I can't complain about Super for that one though. Gohan's character wasn't meant to be a fighter like Goku, which is why that was changed after the Cell Saga... A lot of people misinterpret Gohan's character...here is the truth about Gohan. Gohan was never meant to be a fighter. The only reason he participated in fighting is because he had to. In the future timeline, Gohan became a fighter after his father and everyone else died. Again, he had no other choice but to fight to save the planet. If Gohan had the choice, he would choose to have a successful life over fighting, and he would never purposely go out of his way to pick a fight with someone. Gohan never had the intention to hurt anyone, not even someone as evil as Cell. The creator (Akira Toriyama) realized this when writing Gohan's character after the Cell Saga. Goku on the other hand enjoys a good fight, and actually would drop everything for a good fight. I don't see why everyone is so fond of Gohan. Honestly, What has Gohan really ever accomplished? He beat Cell? Okay, only from the help of his father, and Cell's own ignorance. If we compare Kid Goku to Kid Gohan, there's a big difference. Kid Goku was fun, witty, and interesting to watch in original dragon ball. What did Gohan do during DBZ? Cry in every battle? Talk about how too scared he was to ever fight? There is a reason why Gohan was changed after the Cell Saga. Because anyone who knows the truth about Gohan would agree that isn't his character to become the next Goku. Back to Dragon Ball Super, Piccolo is extremely weak and is just a babysitter now. I can't believe this anime took the bad-ass Piccolo and ruined him this badly. This anime is just about Goku and Vegeta. The rest of the Z fighters are completely useless and irrelevant. Remember when Gohan was a bad-ass and went SSJ2 against Cell? You'll never see Gohan that bad-ass again. Remember when Piccolo and the rest of the Z fighters were actually bad-ass and fun characters to watch? Yeah I remember. Unfortunately this trash anime has made them all a joke. The animation in Dragon Ball Super is absolutely atrocious. I'm not even talking about the first 30 episodes either, the entire series as a whole has bad animation. Many fights are so poorly animated it's ridiculous. Goku vs Beerus, Vegito vs Zamasu, Jiren vs Goku, all of these fights were so poorly animated it's ridiculous. Now of course there were moments in each of these fights with good animation, but those moments barely last that long. For the most part, the fights have worst animation and aren't visually interesting in the slightest. DBZ also didn't have the best animation as well, but there's a difference. DBZ still had awesome fights and didn't look completely ugly when there was bad animation. Goku vs Majin vegeta for example. The animation wasn't the best, but it was still a better fight than anything I've seen in Dragon Ball Super. The fight was still epic and had a lot of meaning to it, something you don't see in Dragon Ball Super. This brings me to my next point. The fights in Dragon Ball Super are complete and utter garbage. I'm not just talking about the animation in the fights, but everything else about them completely suck! First let's go back to Dragon Ball Z. What made fights in Dragon Ball Z so good is the buildup to them. There was a lot of buildup in fights back then, and by the time the fights start it would have you on the edge of your seat. Goku vs Vegeta, Goku vs Frieza, Goku vs Cell, Gohan vs Cell, so many fights in DBZ are good because of the awesome buildup we get. Not only this, but there was actually meaning behind the fights, it wasn't always just mindless action. Let's take Vegeta vs Android 18 for example. This fight had much more meaning to it and wasn't just mindless action. I can't say the same about Dragon Ball Super fights. Dragon Ball Super fights have no build up whatsoever, thus they aren't exciting to watch in the slightest. Dragon Ball Super fights have no deeper meaning behind them. It's just the same boring and repetitive nonsense over and over again. Let's take Beerus vs Goku for example. We have a random dude that comes out of nowhere that's capable of destroying planets. He then goes to Goku and they start to fight. No buildup whatsoever, thus the fight is boring. We have Goku fight him again, this time he's a Super Saiyan God. Again, there's no buildup so there was absolutely nothing interesting about this fight. This applies to almost every other arc as well. 0 buildup in the black arc, 0 buildup in the tournament of power either. The fights are visually uninteresting and boring to watch, point blank period. Speaking about the lack of buildup, this applies to the transformations as well. The transformations in Dragon Ball Super are pure 100% garbage. There is no creativity to be found whatsoever. Super Saiyan God is just base form Goku with red hair. Ultra Instinct is just blue Kaioken. Super Saiyan Blue is just the same thing as Super Saiyan but with blue hair. It's lame and uninteresting. Even though Dragon Ball GT is non-canon, Super Saiyan 4 was much better than the garbage we see in Dragon Ball Super. At least there was some creativity in Super Saiyan 4. Goku becoming a god because five other people give him power was absolute garbage. The introduction for Super Saiyan blue was awful as well. These transformations just come out of nowhere. Super Saiyan 1 and 2 had beautiful introductions, but I can't say the same for the awful transformations we have in Dragon Ball Super. There's just way too many retcons and things that don't make any sense in general. For example, Vegito. It was stated in DBZ that using the potara fusion will make it so that they are permanently fused. Ok, but in Dragon Ball Super they retcon that and say that it only lasts an hour (if you're not a supreme kai). Like, what was the point of the fusion dance then? That basically means Vegito and Gogeta are the same character now. That's what always made Vegito different. It was a permanent fusion. Absolutely ridiculous. Another example of bad writing, why did the Supreme Kai never tell anyone about Beerus? This makes no sense whatsoever. If there's someone out there that's that strong, then why would he never mention that? Again, bad writing. I'm sure we all know this, but the villains in Dragon Ball Super are complete garbage. First off we have Frieza. I used to like Frieza back in DBZ, but unfortunately this anime brought him back and now I'm just tired of Frieza. Why can't Akira Toriyama just be original and come up with something new? Jiren is one of the worst characters in Dragon Ball history. He's just a copy and paste version of Superman. So many people kept talking about Goku vs Superman, so they just made Jiren for that exact reason. Dragon Ball Super has the most ridiculous power scaling I've ever seen in my life. I've never seen a battle shounen that has worse power scaling than this garbage. We have characters here that train for a couple months and become Super Saiyan God level. We have Krillin holding off Super Saiyan Blue Goku. That was hands down the most stupid thing I've ever seen. We have MASTER ROSHI fighting in the Tournament of Power arc and actually beating people up. That makes NO sense whatsoever. This is the same individual that was weaker than kid Goku. Remember Kid Goku vs Jackie Chun? At that point, Master Roshi was already weaker than Goku. He could train his entire life and he still shouldn't be a match for ANYONE. It makes no sense! Android 17 being as strong as God level Goku and Vegeta was also total nonsense. That just doesn't make any sense. No matter how much training he did, he should never be able to get that strong like that. He should be like Mystic Gohan's level at best. Goku and Vegeta trained with Beerus and Whis, two of the strongest people in the universe. You're telling me that 17 is as strong as two people on God level, and two people that trained with the strongest individuals in the universe? Nonsense. Mainly, there are no consequences for anyone's actions. Remember back in DB and DBZ when the tension was high and there was a lot at stake? Like when Gohan refused to finish Cell, and as a result, Goku and Future Trunks were killed. Well DBS destroyed it all. There are no consequences in DBS. Literally nothing in the entirety of this series would've changed the events of DBZ. If it never existed, you would miss no important factors, or important information. Dragon Ball Super was made for the soul purpose to cash in off it's successful predecessors. I think most people would agree Dragon Ball ends after Z. Everything after is complete nonsense. Dragon Ball Super has successfully managed to destroy all my interest and future expectations towards the franchise. Nothing of what made the Dragon Ball or Z enjoyable can be found in Dragon Ball Super. The most basic things like character development, animation and story are god awful and leave way too much to be improved. But don't worry, the series is still circle-jerking around Goku through the entire series. Goku is "the man" he will always saves the day and I mean ALWAYS. I am so tired of seeing this overused character called Goku. Any character can suddenly be on the level of Goku without any explanation if the plot demands it, and apparently the writers thought this was a great idea. Its not; not only does this type of writing makes the story and the past events completely meaningless, it makes characters that worked their way to the top weaker than most of the other characters that were light-years away from reaching others. How did this writing pass quality control? Or was there any? Did the people producing Dragon Ball Super even read the original Dragon Ball Manga or watched the Anime at all? It's almost like they just hired some random kids off the street, gave them pictures of the characters, and said, "Here, start writing." What happened to the deep back story of every character, or how unique each villain was? The main concepts of writing any story is there has to be (pacing, foreshadowing, suspense, character development, etc.) If you do not at-least have those four things, no story is going hold up regardless of the plot. Anyone who has basic knowledge of writing knows that. Now I understand it's the creator's decision to take a story wherever they want to. But there has to be some type of consistency. DBZ certainly had flaws, but DBS has taken those flaws and multiplied it by one hundred. As a long time and true fan I absolutely refuse to accept this series as canon. DBZ certainly had a lot of mistakes, but there were times that made up for it. Super has ruined everything Original Dragon Ball and Z created. Dragon Ball Super is nowhere near the level of Z. It doesn't have the same feel or tone that Z gave us. GT however tried to deliver a realistic story and ending to the canon story-line. Not to mention it continued to follow the formula of Z. GT doesn't deserve all the hate that it gets. Sure it wasn't perfect, no series is perfect. I feel the people who hate on GT are the ones who never actually took the time to watch it, or think about it accurately. GT has way more logic than Super could ever dream of. The creators of GT were thinking outside of the box and tried to put effort towards a logical story. There was nothing wrong with that, and I'm glad we got introduced to something more. Dragon Ball Super has no seriousness, no sense of urgency, no major villain and most importantly there is no character development of any kind. Every character except for Goku and Vegeta are completely pointless and add nothing to the story. In fact if you removed the entire cast except for Goku and Vegeta. Nothing would be different. Events would have happened exactly the same. Dragon Ball Super has no original ideas; it keeps recycling old stuff, things we've already seen or done better as a whole. Bringing back characters over and over that really don't need to come back. Then power them up and add no creativity or logic to their new power. Rinse and repeat, that's dragon ball super in a nutshell. Here's an idea, instead of bringing back unnecessary characters, how about...I don't know...using the characters you already have that were once useful? Rename this series to, "The Adventures of Goku and Vegeta!" because the dragon balls don't really matter at all. None of the characters act the way they are suppose to. DBZ had the story on stake, that kept you on the edge of your seat. Waiting to see what happens next. DBS is a cartoon made for small kids where nothing is taken in a serious manner. It doesn't seem realistic or believable. Not to mention there isn't a single drop of blood or violence in it. What happened to the series where Gohan made cell suffer so much that he spat out 18, Frieza got cut in half, Cell painfully absorbed people's life force, Frieza ripped Nail's arm off, Babidi exploded Spopovich, Future Trunks cut Frieza to pieces and vaporized him, and made his father (King Cold) beg for is life, Android 18 broke Vegeta's arm, Vegeta ripped Android 19's hands off with blood spewing from the stumps? I would go as far as to say Dragon Ball Super is actually worse than GT. I thought GT was bad, but my gosh, Dragon Ball Super makes GT look like a masterpiece. I never thought it was even possible to make a series worse than GT. Though I do agree that GT had it's bad moments. However, GT at least tried to be creative with it's storytelling. A good example of this is Super Saiyan 4. Super Saiyan 4 was the most logical saiyan transformation in dragon ball history. It is utilized from the saiyan tail (Their true source of power) Basically combining the ape transformation and super saiyan together. Super Saiyan 4 is the "true" super saiyan, a saiyan's highest peak and fully developed form. Super Saiyan 4 is more of an evolution than a transformation. Taking ancient saiyan DNA and utilizing its full extent. SSJ4 is achieved by transforming into the golden ape and learning to control it. The look of SSJ4 appealed to me a lot. The final, most powerful and fully evolved form of the saiyan race would make sense to look like that. The saiyans evolved from a monkey race. They are brutal ape warriors. Not multi-colored fairies. Taking a saiyan, and simply changing the hair color/aura is NOT more creative than Super Saiyan 4. Regardless if it's "not canon" The fact still remains that Super Saiyan 4 follows what saiyans actually are better than any other form. The ape transformation was said to be their "true form" Super Saiyan 4 bought the saiyan's back to their primitive nature and style of look. Super Saiyan 4 also fits the original legend better. Earlier in DBZ during the namek saga, Vegeta mentioned that the original super saiyan was a "golden ape." Super Saiyan 4 had evidence behind it, facts to back it up. Not to mention it didn't feel fan made. Super Saiyan 4 felt like a realistic transformation. Which is why it makes more sense than Super Saiyan God. Looking at the history and facts of saiyans. GT has more creativity than Super. GT had a story that made sense and a transformation that made sense. It also gave dbz the most realistic ending it could have had. People also complain about GT making Goku a kid again. Well, with some careful thinking, there is a reason for that. GT made Goku a kid to "weaken" him. Because as an adult, he would have defeated anyone most likely. Also Kid Goku is one of the most iconic characters of all time. More people recognize Kid Goku when thinking of Dragon Ball. GT stands for "Goku Time" meaning it's about him. From the first episode of GT you knew it was going to have the same type of feel in the fighting. We see Goku sparring with Uub just like the classic style DBZ had. This is the first moments of GT, that's when I knew the characters were still the same. Super does not have the same feel, the characters do not act like they did in Z. Fights are also not well thought out. The new characters in Super don't feel like someone to remember. I remember Frieza, Cell, Majin Buu because they made such an impact that it's hard to forget. Same thing with Super 17, though it was kinda thrown out there, Super 17 in GT was more creative then Android 17 in super. His appearance changed when he became Super 17. This was usually the main concept of dragon ball. When a character reaches a higher level, their appearance changes, like how saiyan's do in each form of super saiyan. Super 17 vs SSJ4 Goku was a MUCH more enjoyable fight to watch then Blue Goku vs Android 17. Super 17 at-least had a more logical explanation as to why he was that strong. He fused with another android 17 who trained intensely for years. That tries to put some type of justification on it. It's been demonstrated how powerful fusion is. Not to mention Super 17 had a lot of new upgrades. It's similar when Goku and Vegeta fused to become Vegito. That's a better explanation then saying "Android 17 trained for 10 years and became around god level." Off screen if I might add. Android 17 getting to god level without ever knowing it existed or without an explanation is utter nonsense. I don't care if he trained for a thousand years. It took Goku and Vegeta years of intense training just to get to Super Saiyan 2. It defeats the purpose of the transformation, making it look useless and/or weak because it's so easily obtained. This is supposed to be the power of a god right? Then why are other characters who never received god ki able to achieve that level by simply training in less time then Goku and Vegeta have? Last time I checked, Goku and Vegeta have been training way longer than everyone else. So that doesn't make sense. Super Saiyan God literally has no evidence of any kind. It's one giant ass-pull with a terrible design. Five saiyans have to hold hands for one to receive god like powers? What the hell kind of writing is that? Like, haven't they been doing that since day one? "Everyone share your energy with me so I can defeat this powerful villain!" is what Goku usually says when facing a tough opponent. Isn't this basically the same concept of how Super Saiyan God came about, just slightly altered? That's all it takes to become a god? Not to mention, characters like Beerus and Whis don't need to exist, they remove any seriousness from Super because they can practically defeat anyone. If that's all it takes to become a "god" in dragon ball, then clearly it isn't as powerful as it claims to be. Sorry, but that logic is flawed, there is no denying it either. And using "off screen" training to power up your characters to that much of a degree is not a valid excuse. And didn't Goku say in battle of gods "It's not a power I can reach on my own." if that's true then other characters reaching that kind of power without assistance or any explanation is utterly retarded. Also, the common talk about Android 17 working among humans off screen seems petty. How does an android even get a job? What would he put on his resume? "I have very high standards as I have personally been a part of ultimate perfection when I was absorbed by an evil bug monster, this also means I have experience working as part of a team. My hobbies include stealing cars and not carrying out assassin missions. I quit my last job because I couldn't be bothered killing Goku on behalf of my previous employer; some twisted old man who abducted me and turned me into a cyborg." Android 17 working for humans off screen, and getting to god level is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Both 17 & 18 were made completely pointless characters after Cell. You have easily two of the strongest fighters on earth that can knock out super saiyans like it's nothing, but once again, never used. If you want to watch a show only about Goku & Vegeta, go watch dragon ball super. I personally don't want that. I'd like to get other characters involved. It's nonsensical to have characters strong enough to destroy planets and not use them. Now let's cover the topic of Golden Frieza. This is another "ass-pull" that super does. No matter what the explanation is (canon or not), Frieza should in no way be able to catch up to god level with only four months of training. Considering the fact he never knew it existed in the first place is reason one. If Frieza had that potential all along and he knew it, then why didn't he become Golden Frieza when he came to earth with his father? I mean, he knew how strong Goku was at the time. He knew Goku had the power to defeat him. So why take the chance? If Frieza knowingly had that potential and didn't use it after his first encounter with Goku, then he's a retard that didn't deserve a third opportunity. There is no way to justify that type of power increase. If someone is a god or "god status" then it should not be possible to catch up to them by simply training for a short time. Then again, why even bring back Frieza at all? For what? Just so he can die again, only leading back to the same result as before? Also Frieza's been dead for years. I thought you can't wish someone back after they've been dead for more than a year, so how was Frieza even able to wished back with earth's dragon balls? Once again, another shameful retcon. Another thing GT did well was overuse of the dragon balls because they were never meant to be used that often. Using the dragon radar was basically cheating. The only real issue with GT is it focused way too much on Goku and not the other characters. I don't see the point of having a cast of characters if they are never used. A good example of this is Piccolo. He is the creator's favorite character. Yet he hasn't made Piccolo relevant since the cell games. Why not give every character a purpose or role of some kind? Or build up each character to be a hero in some way. Except for Yamcha of course. Because nobody cares about Yamcha lol. I understand Goku is the main character. But his development is already done. He had a whole series dedicated to him in Original Dragon Ball. His story is complete. Now I'm all for Goku getting stronger, not to mention his rivalry with Vegeta. Goku doesn't need the spotlight as often anymore. It's time to focus on other characters now. One of my major issues with Dragon Ball Super is Goku. They basically took his IQ and turned it down to -12. Goku has always been dumb. But he was never a complete retard. Goku matured in Z. Proving that he could be the ultimate good guy and protector of earth. Even when he was just a kid in the woods at the very beginning of dragon ball, he was still NEVER that stupid. The Goku I grew up watching was all about protecting people and the earth. He was a better character in Z. You mess with earth? You were getting the Spirit Bomb in the face, no questions asked. I fail to see why the creator felt this change was necessary. Goku being a mental retard and not caring what happens to earth is not appealing at all. It's not the Goku us long time fans grew up with. To further touch on that, out of curiosity I decided to re-watch all of Original Dragon Ball and Z in Japanese with English subtitles and I can confirm that Goku is nowhere near as stupid as he is in super, not to mention decently heroic. So all the people saying "That's how his character actually is." I don't think that's completely accurate. Also, why would you want to follow or like a main character that is a retard and doesn't care about anything but fighting? People say the real Goku is a maniac that would let everyone die just for a good fight. But if you really sit down and think about it, that doesn't quite make sense. Goku had a lot of good people around him to shape him into a good person. Grandpa Gohan taught Goku morals and the good way of life. Not to mention he had Master Roshi, Krillin, Bulma all to help him along his journey, to grow into a person of respect. Goku was originally sent to earth to destroy it, however he suffered a concussion, changing the evil saiyan into a good person. That by all means that is a compelling story. It proves saiyans can fight for a good cause. If someone like Vegeta and Piccolo can change, then the same is said for Goku. It makes absolutely no sense for Goku to be a retarded maniac that only cares about fighting, and even if it were true about Goku's character, that doesn't mean it's good writing. Goku in Super is the most annoying, stupidest character I’ve ever witnessed in my entire life. I've never wanted a character to die more than him. I have no earthly idea how anyone can tolerate a character like that and think it's good writing for a main character. I'd rather listen to GT Pan screaming non-stop for hours than that poor excuse for a character. Now that might be true for saiyan's, but Goku was raised by Grandpa Gohan, an earthling who taught him how to be a good person. Goku took responsibility with his power. That's creative and compelling, good writing in other words. Which, while we're on the subject of canon, let's go ahead and cover that now. First off Akira Toriyama is clearly not a competent writer anymore. He openly admits to forgetting things. He constantly forgot about simple things. Like he forgot about Launch at the beginning of Z. He also thought Android 18's hair was pink. He can't remember his own characters or his own writing. He ran out of ideas for super, so he stole ideas from other shows. He made Botamo by simply copying Winnie the Pooh, and Auta Magetta by copying The Iron Giant. Yes, you read that right, he made characters based off Winnie the Pooh and The Iron Giant, and don't try to tell me that isn't bad writing. The thing that sugar coats his writing is nostalgia. I really don't understand why people take his writing so seriously. Toriyama was never a good writer in the first place. A good entertainer perhaps, but he could never write anything complex. I firmly believe that Akira Toriyama could write a story filled with nonsense and inconsistencies (Which he already has with DBS) and people will cater his writing just because they think "Hey, it's the guy who created Dragon Ball. That means it has to be good." Funny how some writers can never get insulted. Like I guarantee you if I copied Winnie The Pooh, made a saiyan red and blue, completely destroyed the power scaling of my characters to where it's not distinguishable anymore, and didn't follow the rules I put in place from the beginning, I would be frowned upon. If any other writer did this they'd be laughed at. But for some reason Toriyama can't fail? What? Seems all he has to do is copy someone's work, and put no thought whatsoever into it, and it's automatically good by default. You cannot be considered a good writer if you can't remember your own writing. Based on these things listed, I think it's safe to assume that this man has lost it and should no longer be credible anymore. I find it odd that his writing still viewed as accurate anymore. He created great characters but doesn't use them all to their full potential. You have all these strong and interesting characters, yet Goku is the only one who really matters. Why even create characters if your never going to use them? Not to mention ruining the characters that were once great. Reducing Gohan to where he can't even handle a few Frieza soldiers? What? How does he go from one of the most powerful fighters on earth to not being able to handle someone who's slightly above an average human? Having Goku and Krillin get injured from gun fire? What the hell happened? And don't even get me started on how the rest of the once called "Strong" characters are ruined. Gohan, Piccolo, Gotenks, Buu, Android 18, Tien, Krillin etc. Their all completely worthless now. Great job ruining your characters to where they're hopeless to do anything, and count on Goku to save them instead of helping. You see, this is what happens when you let Akira Toriyama take the reigns of the show all by himself without having anyone on his creative team there in the passenger seat to help him steer. Instead of riding the DBZ sleigh to potential greatness after the whole GT debacle, the original author of the show ends up crashing it through a hundred trees, a dozen or so snow drifts, two apartment blocks, and a suburb of beautiful houses; killing about a hundred or so families in the process. It's just an absolute tragedy how far DBZ has fallen. As noted already Toriyama decided to move towards more money, instead of pouring his heart into it. Which ends up destroying the legacy he created. To be right to the point, Dragon Ball Z makes no sense after Frieza. DBZ was originally intended to end after Goku defeats Frieza on Namek. Frieza was the supposed "Most power being in the universe." It's not justifiable how Trunks could killed Frieza with his sword, or how a man from earth like Dr. Gero could build androids to have a power level capable of destroying planets, and all the universe as Cell. Dr. Gero didn't even know about the Super Saiyan transformation or the events that occurred on namek, so how could he have made androids that powerful, or even Cell that powerful? Though I'm not against the idea of androids or cell. Just saying it doesn't quite add up. Then again, why would Dr. Gero make androids more powerful than himself? He turned himself into an android (Android 20) If he has the intelligence and technology to make androids that advanced, then why not make himself the most powerful? I mean, he's the one who wants revenge on Goku for destroying his Red Ribbon army right? Wouldn't it be more meaningful to extract revenge himself? Why bother making enormously powerful androids who won't obey you anyway, and will most likely destroy their maker? Dr. Gero is either a fool, or he's just too lazy to get revenge himself, and what does it matter if he's dead? Dr. Gero clearly must have been as dumb as Babidi (Trying to control Majin Buu) He didn't think things through when making 17 & 18. The only logical explanation I can think of why he would do this is because he's actually afraid of Goku. Rightfully so though, taking on the most powerful saiyan in existence is not a smart move, especially one that destroyed the most fearsome army as a little kid. There was no reason to continue after Frieza was blasted to bits. Why continue? Goku already defeated the most powerful being in the universe. What more is there to tell? Everything from dragon ball, all the way to Frieza being defeated on namek was logical, it was also the last time power levels made any bit of sense. Which is also why there are no official power levels after Goku vs Frieza. So trying to justify anyone's power level after that is nonsensical in itself. Goku's story was complete after he defeated Frieza. Maybe Gohan could have had his own series after Goku dies on namek or something. But Goku did not need anymore development after defeating Frieza. He unlocks the legendary power, defeats Frieza, avenging his people, then dies a hero on namek. That would have been the best way for him to leave the series. Super is so out of tune with the rest of the DBZ universe that it makes the Garlic Junior Saga look better in comparison. In fact, having a non-canon movie villain come back in between the Namek and Android Arcs to transform the entire population of Earth into blood-thirsty vampires while Goku and Vegeta are away, and make Gohan feel like he's the only one left to save his friends from his old nemesis, is actually a lot more fun to watch and makes more sense than the garbage that Super has brought us. Hell even GT is better, and Toriyama didn't even have a hand in writing that. What does that tell you? Maybe it's just a joke; or maybe Toriyama is just trolling us; maybe he thought, "Hey, let's create a Dragon Ball Series that's so terrible so everyone can have a good laugh." I find it extremely hard to believe that this is a serious attempt to create a sequel to Dragon Ball Z. Someone cannot be this ignorant to honestly think this is legitimate. If this is serious, then Toriyama does NOT deserve praise for this. He was never able to write anything good without the help of someone else on his team giving him advice. That's why the villains changed so many times in the android saga. Toriyama wanted to make Androids 19 & 20 the final villains for that arc. But one of his editors told him that it's just some old man and a clown. So Toriyama changed it to 17 & 18. Then his editor said 17 & 18 were not cut out to be major arc villains, so then he created Cell. Which in my opinion, I actually liked 17 & 18 more than Cell. In Future Trunks' timeline 17 & 18 were certainly cut out to be major ruthless villains. So they've already displayed this. There are also those who think Toriyama is a comedy writer. Well the problem with this statement is the comedy in Dragon Ball Super isn't even funny, and even when a comedy relief moment is presented, it still manages to fail in that aspect. Dragon Ball Z was never a comedy, though it does have parts that shine in that aspect, calling DBZ a comedy is like calling Krillin is a saiyan. Whoever thinks that is clearly delusional, and even if that were true, what would be the point in having insanely strong characters in a comedy? That makes no sense at all. And this still does NOT excuse the nonsense in super. As stated before, Toriyama has never been a good writer and I think it's really because he doesn't care about the story or his fans in the slightest. He famously wrote on the fly and there are interviews where he says when he got fan letters asking for something to happen, he would do the opposite because he thinks its funny. He pretty much made Dragon ball popular in spite of himself because while the writing was sub-par, the concepts were unique and some characters like Vegeta were very compelling. Also, constantly contradicting your own writing, and/or the metrics that was put in place from the beginning is literally the definition of bad writing. Toriyama really doesn't have anything to gain from bringing a 30 plus year old series back. He really should have left Dragon Ball alone and let us remember the good times of Frieza, Cell, and Buu. No point to continue a series that doesn't need to continue. It ended, let it stay in our memories so the legacy can continue. Let the fans use their own imagination to think of how it would continue. Using canon as an excuse to justify bad writing, or to determine what's good and not good is a terrible analogy and here's why; first let's look at the definition of canon: Canon is anything that actually happened in the original story, and not an adaptation. Or anything officially stated and/or involvement by the creator(s) through some other means. So in short, this means anything the creator(s) had involvement with. With that in mind, instantly accepting anything that is canon means you're willing to agree with the writing even if it's contradictory, which is stupid, because why would you want to accept a story filled with contradictions and inconsistencies of the original material? People who think rationally like quality. Blindly accepting DBS canon like it's candy is very nonsensical. Despite all of this, I myself am happy dbz continued after Frieza. Still a lot of good fights and great memories! The main issue a lot of people (including myself) have with super is the power scaling. Now as I said before, DBZ may have had some things that didn't make sense and a few questionable power boosts (Like Goku's horribly inconsistent zenkai boost in the namek saga) But the way super is has done power scaling is completely nonsensical. Taking a character, making them enormously more powerful, without a reason or explanation is clearly "bad writing" If your going to make "said" character stronger. Then you need to be explaining why, and/or how they got this power. Whenever it came time to make someone stronger on the fly in DBZ, there was usually an interesting plot device or reason behind it. Even though power levels don't really make any sense when compared to reality, there still was some type of context to each character's strength. You can't take a character out of the blue and just say they're stronger without giving context. Otherwise, nothing would ever make any sense. One of the basic things most writers should know is what your writing needs to actually make sense. You need to be consistent when writing a particular story, otherwise it leads to plot holes. I hardly had to question much in DBZ in terms of power. Like Piccolo fusing with Kami to make himself whole again. In super, it's basically "This character trained for five minutes and now their as strong as gods." What the hell kind of writing is that? Sounds like something a kid would think of. My 10 year old niece could think of something more logical than that. Super also breaks a lot of the rules Z once had. Example you say? Spamming the hyperbolic time chamber infinitely? Wait, I thought a character can only use that room for a total of 48 hours (outside) or 2 years (inside). Putting no restrictions or consequences on the dragon balls, thus the super dragon balls. Well this makes the series entirely pointless. If you can wish for anything, why not just vanquish all evil from existence? There, you won just by a simple phrase. The dragon balls are a thing of miracle. Not toys for people to use as often as they please. There needs to be consequences for using something that can change history or events that much. You can't just start writing a story one way, then all of a sudden change the rules that YOU (the author) made without an intelligent reason as to why. All of this qualifies as bad and lazy writing. I think most reasonable people would agree that DBS deserves ridicule. There's plenty of evidence to dislike Dragon Ball Super. You can't rate a series highly just because of nostalgia or because it carries the Dragon Ball name. It needs to be looked at carefully, and after perusing over the entire show, I'm fairly certain there is room to complain. Now there are interesting ideas in super. I'll give it that to say the least. But for the most part. Dragon Ball Super just feels like a fan made sequel to Z that completely misses the point of what made original dragon ball and z great to begin with. None of it feels like it's really happening. If it never existed, nothing would really change all that much. I'd rather dragon ball not come back at all if the writers aren't even going to try to deliver a story worth telling. I go with the saying "At least they ended it before it got bad." I was perfectly fine with where dbz ended. Or if you count GT, where it ended. It's clear super is just throwing random things out there to see what works. Super has moved away from what saiyans and the other characters actually are. It's so disappointing to see all these characters become useless. It's appalling that we have all of this lore in DBZ and it's just thrown away or undermined in Super. Using a "soft magic" system with no rules creates no tension for the watcher/reader, and doesn't keep your interest. Removing all the tension from Dragon Ball is never a good idea. Disclaimer: Now let me make one thing very clear. If you like dragon ball super. That's great, I don't think less of you for it at all and we can still be friends. Just be mindful of the MAJOR inconsistencies. I've been a fan of Dragon Ball for a long time and I can recognize good writing from bad. If you can't see the flaws, then I'm sorry to say that you're painfully close-minded. There is nothing excusable in Super, nor should it be praised. When the author makes a character by copying Winnie The Pooh (Botamo) that clearly means you (the writer) isn't even trying to be creative, and possible running out of ideas. There is a difference between liking something and analyzing the facts. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and just because something isn't a fact or canon doesn't mean it should be entirely disregarded. Sure you can disagree with someone's point of view, but if you don't have an intelligible reason as to why you disagree then it doesn't always hold up. Dragon Ball Super is objectively bad, and retcons itself at nearly every turn; the most un-creative, horribly animated, nonsensical piece of fiction ever created, without question. Now on to the topic of opinions; they are subjective by nature, meaning you either enjoy bad writing or you don't. Just because you enjoy it doesn't mean the writing isn't bad. To have a credible opinion, there needs to be context behind it. If you're going to disagree with someone or argue your side of the case, then you need to have an explanation behind it; there is also such a thing as a "bad opinion" Opinions are widely misinterpreted by many. Here is the correct stance on opinions: You should respect the person and their right to have an opinion, but you do not have to respect the opinion itself. Simply stating "It's just my opinion." does not equal validation. You need to have an explanation behind the opinion for it to have any type of value (depending on what it is of course) Everybody has the right to an opinion, but that does not mean all opinions are equally valid. And the right to have an opinion does not grant a right to be listened to, and certainly does not grant the right for others to be forced to act in accordance with your opinions. Not all opinions are equal, and some opinions are not worthy of respect. Some opinions are hurtful to others, and some are dangerous. And having an opinion does not grant anyone immunity or instant credibility to the topic at hand. Here's an example, if you tell me, "The sky is red." you need to be explaining why you think that. If you don't, then what value does your opinion have? Why should anyone agree or take you seriously when you haven't given an explanation? I'm not against constructive criticism, or anyone's opinion, if your going to state your opinion, please explain why. Otherwise it just makes you look like you don't know what you're talking about. People often confuse Preference and Opinion. Here is the difference between them. Preference Definition: a greater liking for one alternative over another or others. Example: "My favorite color is Blue." that doesn't need evidence because its a preference. Opinion Definition: a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge. Meaning there can be evidence to support it and vice-versa. As you can see, an opinion is NOT always factual, unless it has evidence backing it up, which is known as a "Factual Opinion" Factual Opinion Definition: is an opinion containing factual evidence, not only your own opinion. It's an opinion in which there's evidence to back it up, furthermore, the opinion shouldn't just contain bias ideas of your own, but in fact an opinion that anyone else can agree on. People often think opinions are always false, but this is not the case. As no where in the definition does it state opinions are always false. Opinions can certainly be factual. The use of "opinion" is usually associated with judgments/attitudes that are less factual than some other words, but opinions can still be factual. Granted, opinions are not always based on (widely accepted) facts. Basically, being an opinion and being factual are related but not mutually exclusive. Then there is the main concept that thinking revolves around, known as "Critical Thinking" Critical Thinking Definition: the objective analysis and evaluation of an issue in order to form a judgment. Meaning, there needs to be credible evaluation of the subject/topic before an objective opinion can be formed. If you don't do this, you're still certainly entitled to an opinion, however, it may not be very credible without context behind it. Critical Thinking is used in everyday life, (well at-least by some people.) no matter what the topic is, some form of critical thinking must be applied. An opinion may be a person's judgment as to the validity of some testable assertion. When the assertion is tested, the judgment may be shown to be correct or incorrect. In other-words, the burden of proof lies upon the one making the claim/claims. If you have no proof of what you're asserting, then it won't be a very creditable opinion/judgement. The inability, or disinclination, to disprove a claim does not render that claim valid, nor give it any credence whatsoever. However it is important to note that we can never be certain of anything, and so we must assign value to any claim based on the available evidence, and to dismiss something on the basis that it hasn't been proven beyond all doubt is also fallacious reasoning. A common fallacy that most people make, is when someone makes an argument based on unsound reasoning; one in which someone makes a claim, but puts the burden of proof onto the other side. For example, a person makes a claim. Another person refutes the claim, and the first person asks them to prove that the claim is not true. In a logical argument, if someone states a claim, it is up to that person to prove the truth of his or her claim, not the one who denies it. Absence of evidence is evidence of absence, in other words, there is no need to disprove something there is already no evidence of. So, the next time someone tells you that they have a strong opinion about something, understand what their opinion is based on. Is it based on measurable data with some compelling outcome? Or, is it based on reactive, emotional preferences and impressions? If it is the latter, take it with a grain of salt before you value it. And if you have a strong opinion about something that you know very little about, try to figure out why before you give strong credence to your belief. Also, it isn't anyone's job to tell someone what, or what not to do. What one person may perceive as a bad decision, another person may perceive as the exact opposite. That doesn't mean anyone is right or wrong. In most cases, just because something is popular does NOT instantly mean it's good by default. If the writing is already bad, saying it's canon, or your opinion doesn't change the fact that it's still bad writing. Any long time fan of Dragon Ball who grew up watching it from the beginning should be extremely upset and disappointed with the writing of Super. Dragon Ball Super is a disgrace to the fans, and should have never existed. Dragon Ball Super is an insult to Dragon Ball, and possibly one of the worst animes of all time. The writers of Super have absolutely no idea how to tell a compelling story and it's beyond obvious. However the manga is slightly better, but it still has a lot of issues. To sum it all up; every character in Dragon Ball Super is an inept dumb-ass, and it's impossible to ignore. So unless you're easily satisfied and/or extremely gullible, then your probably not going to like Super. Conclusion: I'm going to offer you the best advice on this topic. Do yourself a favor and forget Dragon Ball Super ever existed, so that the legacy Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z left behind can live on without being disturbed. It will make Dragon Ball more memorable that way. Sometimes, doing too much of something is a bad thing. End it on a high note, not an overused, boring one. The only reason it's even the slightest bit popular is due to nostalgia. I grew up in the 90's, and I can assure you that anime during that time anime/manga was far superior than what we have today. I miss the days of creativity, when authors actually cared about their work, and poured their hearts into it. Everything is all about money and greed in this era, which is very unfortunate. How is anything supposed to improve if no one ever presents legit criticism? If your presenting constructive criticism, that means to one degree or another you're actually paying attention. No one could ever be wrong if criticism didn't exist, and we could have stories filled with nonsense that everyone accepts without question. Now you might say everything stated above is simply “my opinion." though this is true, the difference is I have presented evidence behind everything stated above. An opinion can indeed have supporting facts behind it. Otherwise, nobody could ever be wrong. You cannot overturn a particular topic or subject without having evidence to support the reason. You also cannot argue against evidence, plan and simple. You may also be thinking this sounds kinda like a rant. But the truth is, being a hardcore fan of Dragon Ball in general, it's upsetting and disappointing to see this happen to the legacy that's been remembered for decades. It's ruining the intensity and suspense that Dragon Ball, and Z once had. People get upset about things they care about, and feel the need to express themselves when things go horribly wrong. Basically, if I didn't care, I wouldn't be saying anything. There is absolutely nothing wrong in sticking up for something you care about, especially if you're presenting constructive criticism. This franchise in a nutshell: Dragon Ball Super is a prime example of how you murder a franchise, and regardless whether you agree with it or not, the evidence clearly points to DBS being the worst series of the ladder. It's a contradicting disgrace to the original manga. Might as well call it "Dragon Ball Fan Service" because that's what has become of this franchise. The writers know they can play off people's egos and nostalgia to the point where fans will believe anything they're told. The creator (Akira Toriyama) has completely lost his mind. He took one of the greatest anime/manga of all time and downgraded to appease people with the intellectual equivalent of a five year old. It's like a bad fan-made joke that got extreme funding, that somehow people have taken seriously. If this was any other Anime where the main character's name wasn't Goku, it would most likely be shunned, and never spoken about again. It seems not too many people care about the passion that went into DBZ, which made it MUCH more authentic. This goes to show all you have to do is slap "Dragon Ball" on the side of anything, call it "canon" and it's good, no questions asked. If this is what fans refer to as "good writing" then count me out. I'd rather have creativity and a compelling story versus a plot-hole infested series of fan service and nonsensical fights. The only way it's possible to enjoy Dragon Ball Super is to turn your brain completely off. How much you want to bet that if Dragon Ball Super wasn't canon, and/or any other anime with this many plot-holes and inconsistencies, everyone would hate it as much, or more than GT? In short, GT will always be the "true" continuation to DB and DBZ no matter what anyone says. It kept the lore, and formula of what Dragon Ball truly was. The level of retcon that went into Super is beyond repair, and has forever stained this series. No amount of content or changes can fix it. The unpopular truth revealed. P.S. And if I was to give my opinion on the newest addition to Super: Dragon Ball Super Broly, that can be summed up in just a few sentences. How does a saiyan who's never engaged in a real life battle, and never turned Super Saiyan, surpass Super Saiyan 1-3, Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue, and compete with the likes of Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta in a single day? Answer: Bull$hit writing. Also, wasn't it stated in DBZ that Goku & Vegeta are the only full-blooded saiyans left in existence? So how can Broly be introduced as canon without it being a retcon? Yet another example of fan-service shoved down everyone's throats. (Note: This is not an insult or attack on anyone's opinion of Dragon Ball Super. I'm simply stating the evidence pointing to the flaws of DBS, and what I feel is wrong with it. When discussing a topic, usually evidence is required to the claim being proclaimed. Because if you support something without evidence, then that justifies anything. It means you're no longer vulnerable to someone coming back at you saying "Hold on let me argue the case." This leads to irrational thinking (sometimes) It doesn't mean you can't have a different opinion than someone, it means there is no reason to support/believe something that there is evidence against or none at all in the first place. Everything I've stated above is nothing more than to improve the Dragon Ball Franchise. Revealing mistakes and pointing out the flaws means your trying to help. I basically explain things based on the evidence around it. I simply care about factual information, evidence and logic.) Ignorance and gullibility are not good methods towards being intelligent, regardless of the subject. Anyways, back to this story... For many years I've always wanted a more dark and adult version of DBZ. It seems my wish will only come true in fanfiction. Xenoverse in the title means "Alien Universe" In other words, it's an alternate universe or timeline that could be seen or talked about as "One possible future." There are so many alternate timelines in DBZ that who knows what could have happened. That's why the multiverse theory has so many different possibilities. So with this story I decided to fix the issues of Dragon Ball Super while telling a story of what Eighteen would be like as a much stronger character at the same time. Expanding on what her character would be like if she played a MUCH bigger and better role. (Note: This story is more than just about Super Eighteen. More of what she would be like as a major character.) More stories are to come in the future. One at a time... Top 5 Favorite DBZ Characters 1. Future Gohan: I like him because he is way more bad-ass than the main Gohan. He would be a much better character than the original Gohan. 2. Goku: The legendary hero. I like him because he gives everyone confidence and he always knows what to do in every situation. 3. Android 18: I like her because she is a real bad-ass and I think she deserves to be a lot stronger. Definitely more screen time. I remember watching The History of Trunks movie as a kid and I found 17 & 18 to be terrifying villains. Now Eighteen has been sidelined to a stay at home mom. I really feel she didn't deserve this. She is a very underrated character. (In my opinion) 4. Piccolo: I like him because he is easily the smartest fighter in the series and he needs to be brought back. He has done nothing since The Cell Games. 5. Vegeta: Who wouldn't like the prince of all saiyans? He deserves to be equal to or stronger than Goku. |
