I am a 29yo part time waitress and full time mum. Ever since I was five years old I wanted to be a writer, and people told me I could be anything I wanted to be, but I don't think I ever really believed that. I always took the easy route, taking the first jobs that came along. I said it was because I had bills to pay, and that was true, but in reality I took jobs I didn't care about, put the minimal effort in and if I failed at anything, it didn't matter because it wasn't something I cared about.

I stepped down from running a hotel (a job that really just fell into my hands) to be a part time waitress to look after my children so that my husband could get a degree and pursue his dream career. Now he's there, I've decided it's time to start thinking about me.

One day I had to take my son to hospital with meningitis (he's fine now) and on the ward the tv was playing Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir. I don't know what it was about the program but I was hooked. And writing fanfic for this franchise has opened up the world of writing for me. Not only is it good practice for me, but the positive feedback I get is a real confidence boost.

My dream is to write fiction for a living. To get paid to do what I love. So thank you all for reading my work. I haven't written fiction in over ten years (probably longer) and finding this site has been a godsend for me.
