As Feyre works to infiltrate the Spring Court, what she thought would be a simple information gathering mission quickly turns into a deadlier game of fire and shadows. How far will she have to go to protect those she loves? Will Feyre stand against the King of Hybern or be burned in the process?

This story is set directly after the ending of Sarah J. Mass' "A Court of Mist and Fury". Feyre has, again, sacrificed everything, and now has to deal with returning to the spring court and Tamlin. Meanwhile, Rhys, Mor and the rest of the court of dreams, struggle with Feyre's decision and the coming war.
