![]() Author has written 2 stories for X-overs, and Doctor Who. Updated 10/13/14 Current Thoughts: So I'm now bouncing between Doctor Who and Bones while I wait for more OUAT juices to kick in. I'm on S9 of Bones...still in denial about Zach...and also regarding Vincent Nigel-Murray (WHY, GOD WHY!!!?), but I adore B&B and CamxArastoo and Finn is officially my third favorite intern thus far!" My name is Sarah, but considering that that's one of the most popular names in the universe, I generally go by Kat. Okay, so for the past couple of months, my writing time has been completely focused on my new Once Upon a Time fanfiction called Oceanborn Souls. It'll be a Killian/OC fic with side pairings Swanfire and Rumbelle and a helluva lot of OC characters (Spoiler: there's a ton of Hunchback of Notre Dame in my story and another take on how the show could've done Rapunzel's story). And for the immediate future, this'll be my only focus writing-wise. It's going to be a whopper; I don't have a specific number yet, but the story is going to be longer than fifteen chapters so far. Fifteen LONG chapters! And I still have a ton more planned out, so I'm suuuper excited. I hope that despite the recent Captain Swan development in the show that my fic will still have a chance... If you guys are looking for decent stories to read, the ones on my favorites list are pretty awesome! And the authors on my list are very talented as well! Check them out! Just Random Info/Rants (WARNING!! THERE ARE MINOR/MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THESE FANDOMS!! PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!) Harry Potter fans, I'm curious about something...what is with all of the HP/DM slash? Seriously, who opened up that doorway? The pairing makes no sense (even if one is homosexual, which I'm not, but I'm also not prejudiced for the record) no matter how much you enjoy the whole "enemy falls for his enemy" kind of anecdote. The characters HATE each other, are not homosexual, and even if they were...it still wouldn't happen. I'm sorry. I'm all for exploring a possible uncanon relationship (obviously, since I support Eponine/Enjolras in Les Mis) but only as long as it's REALISTIC! Also, it has been increasingly difficult for me to find good Draco/OC or Draco/Astroia stories. I would like to find non-cliche, well-written ones, if anyone can recommend them. Absolutely NO Draco/Hermione stories! I don't care how somewhat decent he became after Deathly Hallows, he would never even consider a muggle-born for a possible mate. That's just how deep his heritage runs. Deal with it. I love time-travel stories where Sirius and Lupin's deaths are prevented. I've found a few I liked, and I'm on the look-out for more. So if anyone has any recommendations, shoot me a PM. I saw Les Miserables! I thought it was pretty good! It exceeded my expectations, and I'm very pleased that it stuck close to the original play/aspects of novel. Samantha Barks was absolutely incredible, just like I thought she would be, and Hugh Jackman along with Anne Hathaway also succeeded to make me cry...like some other authors on here have recommended, I brought an actual box of tissues...I didn't use as many as I thought I would, but I did use quite a few. In my personal opinion, the weakest link was probably Russell Crowe. He didn't do horrible, but someone better could've been cast. Again, he did better than I assumed he would. I'll have more to say later...oh! Did anyone catch Hadley Fraser's cameo? I DID!!! ;) Even with an odd mustache, he's awesome... Now, as far as Raoul/Christine go in Phantom of the Opera...I will be the first to say that I was first introduced to that world with the movie in 2004. And I went into a very long Phantom/Christine phase...only because of my love for Gerard Butler. I doubt any female with any brains and a pair of eyes/ears (ears for the sexy Scottish/Irish accent) could resist the man. I still always wanted to see the play. I had that opportunity a few months ago when my show choir director (God bless him) lent me his copy of the 25th anniversary DVD of the Phantom of the Opera. That's where I first saw the amazing Hadley Fraser as Raoul...and my obsession with the actor began. But that's for another time. For now, I will simply say this: Raoul and Christine are perfect for each other. I love the Phantom's character to death (Ramin Karimloo is one of the most amazing Phantoms in history, don't deny it), but Raoul is Christine's childhood sweetheart. Childhood friendships trump the somewhat pitiful/crazy music mentor with a lasso obsession. No one will convince me otherwise. Besides, I could never ever say NO to Hadley Fraser's Raoul. I had no chance from the start on that front. Now, like most obsessive Phantom fans, I have listened to all of Love Never Dies's songs. My opinion? The person I was two years ago would have worn those songs out until the computer broke, because of that person's love for the Phantom/Christine. Now? The music is still incredible but like the amazing (and sensible) authors Ace of Gallifrey and Eponnia once put (in different words, mind you): the plot is just plain wretched and everyone is OOC. Christine would NEVER cheat on Raoul, even if she DID have doubts and fears about the relationship; Raoul would NEVER become a drunk, because he has no reason to do so; and Meg Giry (the poor chickadee) would NEVER become a stripper, even if her weird little family (her mother and the Phantom and the rest of Phantasma, the only part of the actual plot I DID enjoy) needed the money. Besides, the Phantom still was pretty darn rich from all the payments during his time at the Opera Populaire, as Ace so somewhat-kindly pointed out in one of my favorites stories that she wrote. As far as Meg/Phantom go...I'll admit I was like "Huh? You're joking right?" at first. But after reading almost all of the afore mentioned Ace's fanfics supporting the pairing (the dearie is very passionate about it) I actually like the two characters together and end up reading those fics whenever I start feeling sorry for Erik (the Phantom's real name, for those who don't know). He deserves a happy ending after all, doesn't he? Star Wars, in my opinion, is one of the most amazing movie franchises to ever hit the market. I have the same opinion about the Clone Wars as a TV show. In the movies, I'm all for Solo/Amidala. I do enjoy AU Anakin/Padme fanfics, because I think the pair deserved a happier ending. In the TV show, I have a major crush on the amazingly tough and honorable clone captain, Rex. I actually am currently designing an OC that will be up for adoption in this fandom once her backstory is developed. Hopefully, someone can give her a good story to live in...preferably one where she ends up with Rex, but I'm open to her being paired up with other clones (Fives or Kix, maybe? Or Echo, in an AU where he lives, because him dying just...IT WASN'T FAIR!!!). Anyway, once that backstory is posted, I will hand the OC over to anyone who I trust will do the character justice. And keep in mind, I'm just a little tough to please...not to sound conceited, because I'm far from the best author. But I'd like to think that I created an interesting character. If someone would like to Beta for it or something...PM me please! It's official now. I am obsessed with Once Upon a Time. Or maybe just Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold and Killian Jones/Captain Hook. Take your pick. Rumple is probably one of the most intriguing, 4-dimensional characters to ever hit the television. Not to mention, putting him with my favorite Disney Princess, Belle? It's a recipe for AWESOME!!! They are such a great pair for the writer's muse. Their relationship is angsty, strong, and just plain beautiful, because no matter what, they know they'll always come back to each other! And I've lucked out in finding so many good RumBelle fics on here (and of course, on AO3 as well. Fans, you know which fic I'm talking about). The show's completely messing with my Harry Potter and Mass Effect writings! GAAAAH!! So yeah, along with Rumbelle, I support Snowing, Swanfire (mostly this one), and basically any story where Graham miraculously survives his inevitable (and unfair) demise. I remember thinking, when that episode came, "NOOOO!!! YOU WERE THE ONLY HOT GUY ON THE SHOW!!!...great, now my only reason for watching is Rumpel." And then along came Captain Hook. AKA Killian Jones. Irish-accented, drop-dead glowing blue eyed, leather rocking, and hook brandishing extraordinaire. It's like the creators of the show WANT me to never focus on my stories! Forget Milah, Killian, your fangirls are here for ya! Oh, and does ANYONE know of a good Hook/OC story? I haven't found one that's satisfied me, and although I'm already working on one of my own, I'd like to read a well-written one. I've found a few Hook/Emma stories that I enjoyed (some here and two on AO3) but since I support Bae/Emma, I'd prefer a Hook/OC story. Just saying. Honestly, in light of recent episodes, I don't care who Killian ends up with (only half lie), I just want him to have a happy ending. He's trying soooo hard to be good and I would hate for it all to go to waste because of Emma (possibly) rejecting him! But, honestly, she kinda treats him like crap. I think he can do better. Besides, I think that her and Bae would be a better match. Which is why I'm currently working on an OC for Killian, and currently getting lost in a sea of extra OCs, because I'm throwing characters from my favorite Disney films into the story! Hopefully I'll get enough of it written to post... AAAAND to add to more recent episodes of OUAT, Outlaw Queen is officially my second place OTP. I just adore their chemistry, and I love the softer side that Robin brings out of Regina. If they kill off one of them...I'll be joining the riots. I'm already ticked off that Swanfire is dead in the water at the moment. You know, considering how hooked I was, and still am, on it, I probably should actually have a section dedicated to Mass Effect, huh? Well, here we go! Besides Halo, this is probably the only X-box game I'll ever have time and patience for. I love RPG (I'm hoping to play Star Wars: Old Republic before I die) and sci-fi stories, AND creating my own characters that ACTUALLY have emotional and physical interaction with the rest of the universe so...yeah, this game was made for me. My main OTP for this fandom is Thane/Femshep. I mean, c'mon, a total bad-a* assassin with a rumbling voice that could lull you to sleep, who rocks leather, AND when paired up with the Savior of the Galaxy, Commander Shepard...what's not to love? Not to mention, he's a sniper that can discuss philosophy. What more could you want? While Thane is my one true love for this fandom, I do also support Garrus/Femshep (because he's the Batman of Omega, as my friend Lindsey put it, and is totally and completely amazing in every possible way), Kaidan/Femshep (I love his voice, and he's soooo sweet, despite the ME2 rough patch, but what relationship doesn't have one of those?), and James/Femshep (whyyyyy is he not a romance option, except as a one-night stand in the Citadel DLC? Who decided that? He's so cool, sweet, and not to mention, pretty darn hilarious!). Well, there you go. And I live in a universe where Thane and Femshep live happily ever after, thus ignoring the events of ME3. Same as every other Thane fangirl out there. I've heard about the show Doctor Who for a long time, but because...well, idk, the planets weren't aligned correctly or something or I was too into my Once Upon a Time obsession, I never got around to watching it, even though I knew it was probably going to be incredible. Eventually, after the prodding of my brother and several of my friends, my mom and my sister and I started watching the show about a month ago. And have been watching at least three episodes a night since then. So far, my OTP for the series is (9/10)xRose. It is just so beautiful, the way their relationship was played out, for both Doctors. Rose was absolutely KICK-BUTT, both before and after Bad Wolf, and no one will ever be able to convince me otherwise. I love any series re-writes that have her continuing with the Doctor and being her awesome self! I also love 10.5xRose, but only the ones where it takes time for her to come to terms with that whole nutsy situation. And after seeing all seasons except for the last two episodes of Season 9 and onwards, I have chosen to not ship River Song with the Doctor. She's...she's really cool and epic and all, but...they're no good together. There's nothing...touching, about their relationship. I ship any fic where 11 comes back for Rose...but only if 10.5 isn't left in the dust or something, because I adore 10.5. More will come for this particular fandom! There's too much to love to not have more about it! P.S. I'd like to kiss the person who decided to have Mickey and Martha together. Those two have been through so much and had been scorned by the persons they loved...they're perfect for each other! And my second and third favorite companions are Donna and Rory (my little Roricus Pondicus, I miss you so much!). I'm also an AmyxRory shipper. My Current Other Favorite Fandoms: Les Miserables (only Eponine/Enjolras, because that pair is more interesting than Marius/Cosette, even though I do support the latter) Pokemon (Mostly Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky/Time/Darkness and only the ones about Grovyle) Wicked (Fiyero/Elphaba: 'Nuff said) Sonic the Hedgehog (anyone know a decent Shadow the Hedgehog/OC story besides the one in my favorites?) the Pirate Queen (someone needs to tackle on Tiernan/Grace! This is an amazing pairing to dissect!) Vampire Knight (only if it's Zero/Yuki or Zero/OC and NOT cheesy!) Pirates of the Caribbean (Jack/OC) The Mentalist (Jane/Lisbon all the way! And Cho/OC, if anyone was wanting to tackle that. *wink-wink, nudge, nudge*) Tokyo Mew Mew (Kisshu/OC, Ichigo/Masaya, and Pudding/Taruto anyone?) Sherlock (Honestly, I don't see Sherlock ending up with anyone besides maybe Irene or an OC, but even that I have difficulty imagining) Bones (New show obsession to pass the time. Booth/Bones are just...perfect. CamxArastoo, as well. AngelaxHodgins are a given.) I'll probably be back to add more...again. All right! BlackAquoKat out!
