Technical issues are important, and there are certainly technical issues that a potential customer might want to consider, such as keeping a back-up on web site, or a back-up through a separate vendor. These approaches might supply some real practical protection in the instance of a catastrophic failure or bankruptcy in the primary provider. Other technical issues might focus on what happens when their bond ends, whether happily or even not. Is there another vendor that will provide the software and host the information? Will data have to be converted to a different format? If the customer decides to switch back to a local area network, will the terminals that have been used for cloud scheming (which, I am told, can be very basic "low powered" machines) be of any kind of use, or will a completely new network need to be installed?
