![]() Hi, I'm a 19-year-old college student in Boston, majoring in Fine Arts. Here's some basic information: Favourite... Movies: Disney Classics, Newsies, Pixar (except Cars and its sequel), The Dark Knight, Meet Me in St. Louis, Hello Dolly, Anastasia, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (original), Pan's Labyrinth, The Orphanage, Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Zombieland, Star Wars: Episodes IV, V, and VI, Tim Burton's works, August Rush, Hot Fuzz, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World Books: To Kill A Mockingbird, In Cold Blood, The Great Gatsby, Harry Potter series (out of those, the Prisoner of Azkaban), Lord of the Rings trilogy and related works, Alex Rider series, Jurassic Park, Andromeda Strain, The BFG, Witches, the Grimm brothers' Fairy Tales, Flags of Our Fathers TV Shows: Supernatural, The Office (until the current season; not funny anymore), Grimm, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Psych, Malcolm in the Middle, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Phineas and Ferb, Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Dexter's Lab, Avatar the Last Airbender, Rocket Power, Ed, Ed, and Eddy, Modern Family, Star Trek (original), How I Met Your Mother, The Amanda Show, Drake and Josh Video Games: Tales of Symphonia, Portal, Portal 2, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Mario Kart, Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario Sunshine, Left 4 Dead, Resident Evil, BioShock Musicals: Wicked, Next to Normal, Legally Blonde: The Musical, Hello Dolly!, Chicago, Sweeney Todd, Spring Awakening People: Mahatma Gandhi, John Lennon, Ellen Degeneres, Martin Luther King Jr., Banksy, J. K. Rowling Things I can't stand: Trolling: I don't care how many people find it funny. It's not. It's stupid and immature. How is improper spelling hilarious? The greatest comedians are not stupid; they're clever and witty. They do not need to act like idiots to get a laugh out of people. Twilight: There is one Twilight crossover fanfic under my favourites, but it actually has character development and the Cullens are clearly in awe of magic, so I imagine the person who wrote this prefers Harry Potter. Anyways, I can't stand Twilight. Stephen King summed up my reasons for hating it (and my reasons for loving HP): "Harry Potter is about confronting fears, finding inner strength and doing what is right in the face of adversity. Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend." Mary Sues and Gary Stus: Especially when they're self-inserts. Nobody is perfect. I don't mind OCs, but they have to have depth and imperfections. The ending of Grease: Why the hell did Sandy have to change to be with Danny? If they have to change to be with the person they like, tough sh*. Don't change, and get over the dude/girl. They could've met halfway; Danny could have kept smoking and racing and all that jazz, and Sandy could simply not do those things. Children's television now: It used to be awesome. Now they've got crap shows. Hannah Montana? Excuse me while I vomit. Modern children's toys: The next generation has a terrible imagination. Why? Because every toy they have does everything for them. You want your robot to talk? Then come up with your own dialogue, voices, story, etc. When I played with toys as a kid, I basically exercised my imagination. Now, kids don't use it because toys do everything on their own. Go watch the movie Big, people. Tom Hanks has some excellent points. Homophobia, racism, and all other forms of prejudice: Don't judge people based on a label. Don't hate people, and don't think you're superior to others because their skin is a different color or they're attracted to the same sex. Besides, it doesn't make sense. People aren't white and black-- they're brown, in varying shades and hues. And being gay is not a sin or a problem. It's love and love is never wrong. And if you're going to say anything about the sex part of it: straight people have sex too. Get over it. Labels: I'm not talking about girlfriend, boyfriend, etc. I'm talking about stereotyping and helping other people stereotype. Don't introduce your best friend (who just so happens to be gay) as your gay best friend. Just introduce him as your best friend. Why should his sexual orientation matter? Oprah: Everyone calls her a saint. She's not. Oh, sure, she opened up some schools in Africa. And she still has more money than all of Texas combined. She probably has more money than the president. She could be doing a lot more. Actually, this goes for everyone like her. I call them hoarders. Politicians I don't care what party they are, they're still scumbags. When I voted for Obama (which I probably will again), I was voting for the lesser of evils. The government is corrupt. If people want to make a difference, follow Martin Luther King Jr., or John Lennon, or Mahatma Gandhi. They deserve respect and admiration. Favourite Characters (not necessarily in order) Harry Potter Supernatural Lord of the Rings The Office Naruto (As of Shipuuden Chapter 584) Doctor Who Avatar: The Last Airbender Really good fanfics people have to check out: Harry Potter A Motive for a Mugglekilling by Bill Birdbittle Rated T, Pairings: Canon (focused on Percy and Audrey) A Stag in the Wandlight by siriusly klutzy Rated K, Pairings: James/Lily Strangers at Drakeshaugh by Northumbrian Rated: T, Pairings: Canon, OC/OC |
