Author has written 6 stories for Golden Sun, and Ayashi no Ceres. Yooo. I'm tryin' to write good fics and make the most of life! So what if I'm no Ernest Hemingway? My writing's okay, and I'll keep working. MARY-SUERS, DIE! And Stephanie Meyer, WHILE WE'RE ON THE SUBJECT is not a good writer. I used to be Esperon on Neondragonart... Currently, I'm working on a not-so-good looong GS fic that I tend to only work on during summer. I don't really fic during the school year because there's already too much stuff to concentrate on. I'm also bouncing around ideas for GS fics and a Harry Potter fic, but nothing's been drafted. I'm really proud of my two GS one-shots. What I want to do now is write a fic that's several chapters long, but not terribly long that has a nice story arc. I also want to write a fic with no romance in it, because I worry that I'm judged for adding romance because I'm a girl. Still, I like to experiment with different pairings. The nice thing about doing Golden Sun fics is I can do different interpretations of characters because I feel that with their lines a lot can be open to interpretation, unlike with books and movies, because then we experience the character more in those media and I must follow true to the character (I don't mind doing that, though!). I like using themes and motifs in some of my fics because I love stuff like that in writing. I love character stuff; character development is da stuff. What else, what else? I come across lots of decent fics, but I'm really in search of reading really good ones where I'm glued to the fic. I admire the writing of those authors I generally refer to, and hope that someday I'll have that kind of skill. I'd probably read a lot more if I wasn't so darn picky when I look over summaries and genres. I really need to stop being so picky! I don't have an avatar because we rarely need them on a site like this. On messageboards, however, I use an avatar. I don't care if I appear to be a n00b on this site just because I don't have an avatar. No one's really bothered me about any of this stuff; I just think about it a lot. Hobbies: Drawing, RPing. Writing. Watching TV. Playing Video Games. Having opinions, particularly about writing. Fave TV Shows: Community, Heroes, Project: Runway, Step it Up and Dance, Scrubs, Law and Order: SVU, House, America's Next Top Model, Firefly, Pushing Daisies, Seinfeld, Family Guy, Burn Notice, Avatar: TLA Fave Mangas: Skip Beat, Bizenghast, FruitsBasket (just the first 4 novels, though...not too fond of the rest of it), Misfile, Dramacon, etc. I don't read too many novels on my own...but I like Bridge to Terabithia, A Year Down Yonder, Alias Grace, The Road, and the Harry Potters. Fave Movies: Memoirs of a Geisha, RENT, Chicago, the Italian Job, Ray, the Bourne movies, Sweeney Todd, Stranger Than Fiction, Pirates of the Carribean 1 (well, and 2), Chocolat, Harry Potters, Paris Je T'Aime, The Painted Veil, Elizabeth (i LOVE shekhar kapur) VIVE GOLDEN SUN! And Halo. And now, a discussion of Golden Sun. I'm really afraid that some parts of the game will suck. At first, I thought the idea of the children being the main characters was lame and cheesy, but then I realized that it would be fun to develop new characters and also too many adventures happening to the same characters can be too much. For example (NOT that I would change anything, but you can't help but notice), Harry Potter goes through really traumatizing experiences, and the worst way he reacts to it is bad dreams and angst. Anyway, there's other stuff that makes me worried. STILL, i'm going to boy a DS JUST so I can play Golden Sun. Also, the name Crown is really cool. I approve of any shipping because I believe that a good writer can sell anything. I am not a purist about things. Also, I'm not a homophobe, so I approve of gay pairings (as indicated by my lesbian pairing of Jenna and Sheba is Satellite?). Lovely Golden Sun Facts from ze Game: 1. A book in Hydros' Palace entitled "The Great Lemurian People" states the following if you decide to read it in the game: "The chosen master of water will be a native son of Lemuria." Hrmmmm...could be Piers, right? Well, the inscription on the Parch Tablet in Aqua Rock states that he who learns the Parch Psynergy is the Wielder of Water's Might. You'd think with all of that talk, Piers would be a more useful character in battle. Sorry, buddy, but it's true. 2. In Contigo, a little boy says that legend tells that Anemos Hovered into the sky, leaving the crater behind. An old woman says that the moon is really the floating city of Anemos. Hrmmm...didn't Sheba fall from the sky? |
